Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning folks. PT session this morning at 7.30. Ridiculously early in my humble opinion but it's done. Glad you are home safe @Barnfred 55 . Dale Street is quality. The Ship and Mitre is a great pub. One of my favourites. @larbert toffee I am so excited for you and your grandson today. It will be such an experience for him. Hope we win for you.

Dad still in hospital. He seems OK in himself but waiting on more tests and results. We're just going to see how it goes and then my brother and I will have a talk about how to manage the situation. I can easily travel to Liverpool and work from home while I'm there so we should be able to sort things out between us.
Off shopping in a minute and then the mighty blues!
Always good to get it in early and then you can enjoy the rest of your day!!

Fingers crossed for good news about your dad. My eldest’s footy training finishes at 12:30 so I’m gonna have to find a very long way home if I want to avoid watching our weekend ruiners at all costs!!

Zatty Sassy's back lol
I’m back with more multi quotes responses, but don’t blame me. I was just here yesterday morning and then I had to catch up to 5 pages ?

Safe and sound mate ;)

Nice pics by the way. Still no autumn ones though lol
That’s a shame we were all looking forward to it lol

Thought I would share some County Durham pics. The first one is looking out of our back bedroom window. You can see the A1 in the distance. second one the River Wear in Durham

Nice. It is great to see County Durham pics and where you live too, Ange. I hope your day is feeling better and can be dismissed from the hospital soon. Xx

Funeral was great mate. Sounds weird to say that but he was a special guy and was given a really good send off by hundreds. Saw some old friends, some of who I hadn't seen for 20 years and I got lot's of big hugs. To a man they all knew about Cal, and of course my brother, who was in the same group of friends, also passed away last year, Shocked if I haven't caught covid after that. These were good mates, not just acquaintances, so of course you just pick up where you left off last time you saw them. Some great stories told and we just laughed so much. Didn't leave until about 6pm so that's 8 hours worth and it was still going strong then.
Sounds like your friends funeral was a chance to reconnect with all friends, glad you had the chance to see all these good mates before coming back home.

I love how you try to help all of us ,so this is for you :-
enjoy

Awe @blue1948 what a beautiful clip. I’ve heard that beautiful song by Andrés Henestrosa many times before growing up. But this version by this boy is simply magnificent and it moved me with emotion this morning. Thanks for sharing it ?

Morning all on this bright and frosty morning. We are taking granddaughter to her drama club later which means we will miss the second half of the match. Last week I was happy to volunteer our services now that doesn’t seem like such a good idea. Only kidding, I’d do anything for her really and she can always repay me when she’s a rich and famous actresslol. Have a great day all. UTFT’s
Have a great time taking your granddaughter to her drama club, I’m sure it will be as entertaining as watching Everton and you may even be compensated with a hug ? then later in life If she becomes rich and famous with much more.

Back at the graft in the gym this morning, albeit a relatively light session. Run done, so just a few accessory lifts/exercise to keep the engine ticking over.

5 days until my little break away. A six pack by then seems unrealistic but we keep at it…
Good job keeping up with the workout routine. My gym doesn’t open until 8 am this morning and given the time of today’s game it seems I will be working out after it, so I hope Everton doesn’t kill my motivation ;)

Cheers mate, nice post, he's just landed down here with the rest of the gang, he's beyond excited and he thinks he's watching the game in the pub. I told him when we score he'll be able to hear the cheering from the stadium.?
LT, how exciting for you and your family to be attending todays match. Im sure your grandson is going to be thrilled with the surprise and you all are going to be bouncing too with his happiness. Now we just need our Blues to put a big display for you all.

Morning Fred , after a night at the rugby I’ve just finished off a couple of hours in the gym in preparation of a large brekkie and more than a few pints back in the loving arms of the Old Lady that is Goodison.

Well I’m glad you had a good day , Dale street has been a great road for a beer for years , even up to tithebarn , and traditionally very blue . They’ve all found it pretty hard the last couple of years with WFH so I’m sure they were glad of your patronage. the excelsior is a cracking boozer and very much solid blue , the owner in particular, it’ll be bouncing this afternoon as there is memorial drink on for a bit of a old school Evertonian so hopefully three points will help that day along . Side street I’m thinking if it was halfway up it’ll be the rose & crown if it was passed the saddle it’ll either be the hole in the wall or the Denbigh Castle . Denbigh is an other big Everton boozer with some good Everton memorabilia on the walls , if you didn’t pop in give it a visit . Rigbys was always on everyone’s list and used to be a big meeting place , lots of history in that building that’s for sure .

It’s mad how lots of people from other places don’t get the having a wander , lots of people like to plonk themselves down once they find a good pub but Scousers in particular love a stroll. I’ve said before I think it comes from the city centre being so small .

@larbert toffee have a brilliant day today mate I can only hope an early goal electrifies the place and shows him what a real Goodison can be like . Fingers crossed its Something he’ll never forget , hopefully got a good reason .
Harry, enjoy your pints back in the loving arms Goodison Park, I’m sure now that Benitez is gone is going to feel very joyous to be back.

Happy Saturday, Evertonians.

It feels like a great day to be a Blue. I woke up feeling like we are going to kill Aston Villa. I just saw the lineup and I really like it. I’m sure Goodison is very lively already and the fans are going to be our twelve men today.

Last night we got lucky and the snow stayed east of us so we didn’t get any more accumulation. It is supposed to be sunny later today so we are hoping to go for a hike, I’m ready for an outdoor adventure. We have been stuck at home most weekends in January because of illness or because of the snow so I am really desiring to go outdoors later today.

I hope everyone’s Saturday goes well too. If the Blues give us a win this afternoon then that would help our weekend to be a great one :)

Morning everyone.

It's 8am here and awoke still tired .

Was having a great holiday until saw that line up.

What is he thinking? Hope I'm wrong .

Have a great day all.
Hi, Jazzy. I was just thinking about you but I didn’t think we will be hearing for you for a few days.

Hahahaha, don’t let Everton ruin your Holiday. I actually like the lineup. Who would you have rather seeing there instead, Rondon? ;)

I was thinking the same mate. We need a midfield 3, especially if Gomes is in there. Dropped Gordon who's been arguably our best player. And Kenny at RB. Don't think the 2 new signings are even on the bench. Unbalanced team.

Quite a stressful time at the minute, work is crazy busy but next week is ‘leave’ but gotta do my reading.

Need work done at the house and I find that makes me anxious. It shouldn’t but it does as I babble to the workers and am so on edge. Stupid but it’s me and gotta roll with it.

Major positive, my lad is now double negative in his Covid tests and his request for a chippy tea was an easy win ??

Dear @Armaghtoffee that’s great news about your son but I’m sorry to read that you are feeling stressed at the moment. Do you have any techniques to help you de-stress? Working out and breathing exercises help me a lot when I’m feeling stressed. But meditation, mindfulness, journaling and getting creative are also good ways to lower your stress level. Hopefully you can find a technique to help you manage it until things slow down ??
