Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Been a hard day here in Finland ,it was Finland vs Sweden at Ice Hockey -for those who don't know that is the Merseyside derby of Ice Hockey .
First period 0-0 second the Finns went mad and had so many penalties against them ,the Swedes up 3-0 Finland have the same complex as the Blues when it comes to this game ,last period somehow the Finns score three ,so 3-3 into extra time and you all know what happens .No , Finland won the golden goal and beat the Swedes .Now almost everyone in Finland is drunk .
Enjoy your celebration.....vodka all round?

Afternoon everyone.

Well the rain relented long enough to allow me to transplant the 3 Rhododendron , piece of cake compared with the acer laptop.
Came back in to see Newcastle 1 up v Villa gulp! Still paranoid about relegation but if we replicate yesterday's performance in the rest of the matches we should be OK.

Good to hear from you T. I thought about you last Sunday. I was at the Imperial War Museum in London with my 16 year old daughter and there was quite an extensive display on WW1.

It took us ages to get round, but that was mainly due to the fact my daughter was reading literally everything. It felt a bit like role reversal and I was the impatient teenager rolling my eyes because she was taking so long.

We didn't get to see much else after the WW1 exhibits. We were tired and our brains were full, so we decided to go home and come back another time.
It's really refreshing to hear your daughter was so interested in WW1 BTS. The impression you're left with these days is that kids are not interested in anything other than games, phones and reality TV. So many lessons to be learnt from what happened there that it's so important our youth today fully understand the futility of war in the overwhelming majority of cases.

Well. I'm not sure where that afternoon went, Slept the whole way through it lol

I see results today were varied. I don't actually mind Newcastle winning to be honest. Part of me is rather pleased that Slippy G dropped 3 points today, especially after a dodgy VAR disallowed goal too.

I'm not actually overly worried that we go down. I believe that if Frank can get them putting in the same level of commitment that we showed against Brentford and Leeds, then the Goodison crowd will lift us away from relegation pretty quickly. I think Frank has played at Goodison often enough to know first hand what get's the crowd going, The fat man claimed to understand Liverpool people; well he clearly didn't understand us that's for sure. I don't know how good a manager Frank Lampard is going to be for us, but the one thing I do believe is that he get's us, the fans. And that is half the battle.

Looks slightly more palatable than the mosnter in Alien now Blue. lol Not sure all that pastry is good for the waistline tough. Plus the filling looks like chicken. Didn't you say it was fish?
Yes it is vendace a small member of the salmon family .A lthough I suppose it is an aquired taste I find it so tasty .

Good morning allon this beautiful morning ,it is light now at 7.30 our time and they are predicting an early Finnish spring ,the sun feels warm now and that is not normal at this time of year ,time to get my tee shirts out soon and put the fur hat in the cupboard !
I hope all who can enjoy the day and the ones who need help get it ,have a great day blues .

Brilliant, good for her, half the kids these days don't even know who Hitler was never mind WW1 so I'm impressed.

Morning all, weathers still freezing and wet always a treat first thing in the morning, be nice to get light mornings back again.

Good to hear from you mate. How's Molly?
You mean Daisy Jazz lol yeah she's good as always, she's a pleasure to own no trouble at all and she's very quiet for a beagle thankfully. She doesn't bark an awful lot and when she does it is normally something totally random.

She has a thing for parked mobility scooters for some reason, she randomly barks at the tv now and again, once was some crows making crow noises and she went nuts lol she's a nutter.

Never barks at other animals or people just wants to play with everything she's not fussy what kind of animals she loves them, cows especially seem to like her, got a great pic of her and about 5 cows all nose to nose, she's a lover not a fighter is Daisy.

She does help, apart from being really good company, it forces me to go out walking and not just wallow in self pity in my flat all the time. She a good one a very calming influence against the madness of my mind.
