Unexpectedly calm here now. Slight wind, no rain and just unremarkable.

Morning everyone,
The little fella got me up early this morning.
He sleeps well but when he starts shaking you know he wants a wee!
Anyway with some trepidation I opened the back door and it was wet but no wind at all.
Don't think the forecasted storm will be a damp squib but just not reached us yet. It did say Manchester was the northern edge and we are north of that but we were in the Amber section on the map.
Anyway big night last night as we clinched the Division 1 title in table tennis with a game to go.
Happy but a bit stiff today.
So , everything is weather dependent today. I suspect I will just stay in and read .

You have highlighted one of the things I really like about air travel - private lounges.
You'd think it was the preserve of the rich and famous but Mrs J discovered that we get free access as part of our bank account.
Must admit 7am is too early for me but even then a free breakfast and copious amounts of coffee and orange juice are welcome.
This year was the earliest I've ever had alcohol in the lounge but there were extenuating circumstances.
We had had a stressful lead up to the trip and faced the prospect of rejection if we failed a lateral flow test at the airport.
We didn't so at 10.30 I had a celebratory glass of vino.
Rich and famous? Not really. Once I was unfortunate enough to be sat next to Mark Lawrenson and yes he's every bit as odious as you might think.

Nope. Worked last night and had a right touch as there was virtually no wind at all as well.
Kids just woke up and I’ve sent them back to bed and I will be doing likewise very shortly..

A merry dance trying to find a Lufthansa service agent
All airside help desks closed
Back out to landslide
Rescued a young teenage girl who looked at me and burst into tears ( I have that affect on women of all ages ) she was travelling alone for the first time and her flight was cancelled …. So I took her to the front of the service queue and handed her over to Lufthansa customer service ( the yellow gestappo) and then got myself rebooked to fly this afternoon. … back through security
Back through Covid checks to get to the lounge

I think that that's all for the best to be honest.
Very chivalrous of you amigo but exactly what I would have expected.
Enjoy yourself in the lounge but don't get too blasted as they won't let you on the flight later!
