Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all. We've binned off the trip to Liverpool until next weekend. My Dad was worried about us driving across and said to stay at home. Not much wind around here at the moment although we are only in the yellow zone. I think Dudley was worse for us. Poor cat is desperate to go out but she hates the snow - I don't think she likes her paws being cold and wet so she is cuddled up next to the radiator at the moment. She's really funny. She insists that we open every door that leads to the outside so she can check that the weather is the same at every exit. She's also in a huff because we've run out of cat treats until I go shopping later. Not having a good day.

As was said in one of my favourite ever TV shows "Let's be careful out there" (bonus if you can remember without Googling!) lol

Why didn't they decide on that yesterday. Not as if they didn't know what was coming. How where you informed? Must have been a pain in the arse and how many won't get the message?
Two schools emailed and text at same time.
Last day before half term.

All kids are set up for home learning anyway after lockdowns, so the days schoolwork arrived via email half hour later.

Pretty scarey out there now. The trees look like they are tilting around 30 degrees with the gusts, but fortunately I don't have any big ones close to my house. All my furniture seems to be where it should be and no plant pots blown over yet. I have a couple of biggish palms which are usually the first to go. Anyway just ran myself a bath which I'll jump in before going down for brekkie. Have a little read when I'm there. I'm in no rush.

The howling of the wind is now horrendous by the way. Pina Coladas and Tequila Sunrises it is then.?

Right, so we have someone on the piss in an airport, and someone in the bath..
Got to love the forum sometimes..

Morning gang,

Wind's not too bad here in Kent, at the moment, but the Met Office has upgraded London and the South East to red alert with winds potentially up to 90mph, so we won't be venturing outdoors today.

A tip for anyone in a red alert zone. Make sure your mobiles are fully charged, just in case you have a power cut.

Stay safe everyone and stay home if you're in a red alert area, even amber alert if you can.

Get on the sun lounger with your pina coloda and pretend that you are in St Barts, and its hurricane season.
