It is indeed. 3pm. Fortunately the hairdresser is about a five minute walk away. We're not getting anything like what other people are experiencing. Hardly any wind, the snow has melted, had some heavy rain and now the sun is out.Isn't it blue rinse day today Anj?
Not a day to be going to the hairdressers. Might be different up by you though.
Oh that's awful. Hope you feel better soon and your PCR test is negative. Any idea where you got it from? Hugs xGood afternoon all, I hope you are all unscathed after the storms.
Having a mare today, started with a bad night, went to bed with my dressing gown on plus extra covers and was still shivering all night.
Did an LFT, it went straight to positive, my heart sank I'venever been positive., not only did I have a big function lined up tonight, I was meant to be flying to Lanzarote in 8 days which requires you to be 14 days covid free.
I booked a PCR test in Falkirk but when I arrived it was closed due to staff shortage caused by the snow, redirected to Alloa where the people who were there were as good as gold.
Now awaiting the result but 100% I will be positive, really hacked off, honestly thought I was going to escape it al, more concerned for my missus getting it though as she is visiting her elderly mother on a daily basis.
I can now fully appreciate the hassle and inconvenience everyone whose had it has been through.
Hope you all have a good day, keep the hatches battened down.
Always reminds me of sitting watching it with my dad, (39 years since he passed now).? ? ?

HSB, loved that programme also.

I’m sure I read that book , but I’d completely forgotten about it and I didn’t know the connection. It was the mix of characters and partnerships that made it such a good programme, NYPD Blue followed the formula to an extent and was also very good.HSB, loved that programme also.
Did you know the series was spawned from a feature film called the Choir Boys which was excellent and if my memory serves me correctly had most of the characters in place.
I did not know that but now you've told me I'm not surprised. Never saw the film of The ChoirBoys but read the book a very long time ago, it is brilliant. The only book I've ever read and then re-read immediately. The author Joseph Wambaugh is a retired LA cop. He wrote loads of fiction and non fiction about the police in USA . Hilarious and heart-breaking in equal measures. Well worth looking him up if you haven't read any of his books. there's one called The Onion Field that is exceptional - non fiction about the kidnapping of two LAPD officers and the subsequent murder of one of them. I think that was made into a film too.HSB, loved that programme also.
