I get back ache when I overdo things bending over (keep it clean please). Goes off me after a while so I just need to take a 15 minute break. It does mean that is usually takes me hours to do a 20 minute job though. lol

Cal used to suffer badly from sciatica so she had to be very careful when lifting things. When she had bouts it could last for days and she was in real pain. Things got a lot better when we bought an automatic car though.

Haven’t had a sore back for years but I suppose if you’re going to do something then you may as well do it right.

Very good point you raise there as extending your leg to change gears directly impacts on the sciatic nerve itself. Random point I know but my fear of getting an automatic would be that I would forget how to drive a manual.

Morning all, hope everyone is well. The mornings are getting lighter and it was a beautiful pink dawn here. Early morning is my favourite time of the day. Daughters are a joy @Sassy Colombian and @anjelikaferrett but also a worry. My daughter was always more trouble than my son, in most ways completely different from me. I used to say to her during our “discussions“ I hope you have a daughter, then you will know… She has two and although they are only 8 and 5 she “knows”lol. Have a good day everyone.

I absolutely love when the days begin getting longer. One of my favorite things about the seasons is those changes to day light hours. Because Colombia is near the equator, it has no seasons so sunrise and sunset occur at the same time throughout the year. I was amazed my first summer in the US and being 9 pm and still having day light.

They are indeed. When I first became pregnant I wanted a girl so bad and I got her, but I never realized she was going to challenge my patience the way she does. I love her dearly but my Sofia is also very different than me. Her personality traits are more similar to those of my younger brother or my younger sister. My sis is always joking that God sent me the wrong child, it sent me hers ?

In my clear up from Storm Franklin I somehow managed to pull a muscle in my back which is proving rather limiting ?. Hopefully another couple of days of walking like a zombie will see me back to myself.

I'm sorry to hear about you pulling a muscle. Those can be painful, may you recover soon ?

Daughters may be harder work when they are younger, but experience tells me that they more than make up for it when they are older.

Charlotte is the polar opposite to me. She is very tidy, loves to be organised, likes to have a plan. The worst thing I can say to her is something like "Well, let's just see what happens" I am organised in that I know where I'm supposed to be and what I should be doing at any given time but I have no issues if it changes. And I'm very untidy. My union desk was a mass of papers seemingly flung all over the place - but I did know where everything was!

Sofia is the opposite of me too. Charlotte actually sounds more similar to me, I'm very organize and tidy too. My daughter is supper messy, sometimes when I walk into her room I am not sure if I should cry or laugh.

@Terrarian I am also hoping that your headaches are not agonizing you too much this week. I was thinking about you last night and how debilitating this condition must be for you. Hahaha, you are right. Our flouzie is actually on her way to the Vet and after today I'm afraid her bimbo tendencies are a thing of the past. As a female I feel super guilty about taking that joy from her, but our world doesn't need more kitties.

You were too quick responding back. Sometimes when I do my multiquoting I always go back to do some final editing but you were too fast and caught my changes. And yes you were right, my sweet flouzie looks very feminine in pictures, just like her mum so you will know it is her

I'll second that. I have one either side of me now plus one over the road. Hope they don;t start having a turf war over my back garden. lol

The one next door is owned by my young veggie neighbours. It's only a kitten and hasn't ventured out yet as far as I'm aware. They've named her Stevie after Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac. Hope she doesn't turn into a floozie like yours.

Hi everyone hope you're all well today. I'm not doing much it's that time again spasm city and headaches, sick of them and I will be honest, the thought of getting old with this condition is not a pleasant thought, hard enough dealing with it now.
