Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

That is beautiful mate.
Cheers mate. The county is full of stunning old churches like this one.

I actually did it a disservice. Only the tower is 500 years old. The rest of it dates back to the 13th century. It's the setting that makes it really stand out though, which you can't tell from the photo. You can see the church clearly on the cliffs as you sail into mouth of the Helford.

Hahaha. She is so sweet that I have yet to see her act furious, but she has reasons to be mad. But at least the pain killers are keeping her lazy. As you can see ?

I had not even thought about Mikolenko being Ukrainian, poor him having to deal with such a worry for his family. And being in another country while his family is in dangerous must be very distracting. Hopefully he is not expected to play this weekend.

What’s life without the joys of sweets. You will get back to your routine and the effort that you are making to stay healthy is what matters :)
She's gorgeous

I did manage to nod off for about 30 minutes shut eye. That's all I need of an afternoon and I literally do just fall asleep in the chair. I also regularly fall asleep in the bath. Cal used to say I could sleep on a clothes line. lol

Really enjoyed the walk. First time I've really been out properly for about 2 weeks with all the stormy weather we've been having. I walked to our parish church, which is a lovely old church (about 500 years old) that is on the cliffs near the mouth of the River Helford. I then went to a favourite spot on the coastal path where one way you are looking out to Falmouth sound and the Lizard peninsular, and the other way you're looking down the Helford River valley. I've taken a couple of photos that probably don't do it justice and I'll try and post them later.

Anyway I need to go and unpack the new washing machine as Sammy, my neighbours daughter, is coming round tomorrow to plumb it in for me. Who said I was sexist. lol Then i'm going to make myself a nice G&T before making tea.
Make sure she cleans up after herself !!!

Very random comment this I accept. Had a house issue that needed sorted ASAP (minor oil spill). Much stress and anxiety as these things can be major.

House vibrated all day with drills as the Environmental team seemingly went to the centre of the Earth to assess potential impact.

Not over yet, long way to go but hopefully can avoid the interior of the house becoming a building site.

My point to make, to be stressed and have someone who knows what they are doing explain it in simple terms is priceless. No sugar coating, just facts.

A Polish lad and an Irish lad did the assessments and they were brilliant. I had a big pot of stew on and they joined me for lunch and it was easy conversation. Polish engineer particularly witty and he was telling me his dream is to become a guitar maker @fandjango

Trying to de-stress now ?
Oh that's not good. Hope you get it sorted. We had a gas leak outside our house in the summer. The neighbours noticed a smell. They actually got evacuated from their house for a day. caused by ancient gas pipes that apparently could have been slowly leaking for years. British Gas spent days drilling holes outside our house trying to locate the leak. The noise was awful. You have my sympathy. Glad you had good people to make you feel at ease.

I have been living in Kilkenny since 90. Absolutely steeped in history. I have sung since 08 in St Canice's Cathedral CofI choir although I am RC myself. An absolute privilege.

I won't try to post photos, but a simple Dr Google of Kilkenny will show you the rich heritage. Castle, Cathedral, Rothe House, Shee Alms House, Tholsel, and lots of other hidden gems.

I actually did google it the other day as I wasn't quite sure where it was and whether I'd been there. I haven't.

If you like old churches, google St Just in Roseland, probably the prettiest church in Cornwall. It's set in it's own gardens, complete with it's own holy well, on the banks of the River Fal. It really is stunning.

Tell him to look at some good makers on you tube .. in particular my good friend and Master guitar maker Pablo Requena he runs courses in Malaga … not cheap but reachable I’d someone really wants it … and of course it also depends on what type of guitar they want to make …

I finally got around to Rick Stein's cornwall S2E3 and the sub-tropical rain forest along the banks of the Helford .I had no idea there was such a thing . Beautiful place that @Barnfred 55 .
If you take a look at the photo I took of the Helford River, the village towards the top left of the picture is Helford Village. Just beyond that is said sub tropical rain forest, which included the much lauded Frenchman's Creek. ;)
