Love your bird houses @blue1948 What kind of birds would you get living in them? Same as we would expect or more exotic species.

The hole is 32mm and that suits blue tits ,if it is any bigger then they won't use them as a predator could get in .So you have different sizes for different species but the pied flycatcher uses them as well if we have any at this house .
We do have a lot of the same birds and most of the finches ,strangely they are larger here and I don't have any idea why ,I have books from both here and the UK and the sizes mentioned are different !!!
Addendum
We also have butterfly and insect books and we spot them and note the first time on each page ,along with fish of the Red Sea but that will not be used for a while .
We think it would be sad to live in the forest and let nature pass you by .

We had a visit today from the charity who specialise in the asbestos type cancer that her indoors has. It was a very informative meeting and we got a lot from it. I had a telephone appointment with my Doc and he has arranged some more blood tests for Friday this week. He is also arranging for me to see the heart specialist and to book the endoscopy.
I could really do with being fitter with her indoors condition and the house move coming up, so am hoping for some improvement.
