Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Have you got a plot in your garden?
No , it's a really good question.
Obviously we have a big garden but I must have buried 5 dogs , 3 cats and umpteen chickens in the 25 years that we've been here.

So , like today I dig a hole where nothing else is planted and then plant or move a shrub on top so that we can never disturb the burial.

I wouldn't say that they are the reason.
There is a disease (something similar to myxomatosis in rabbits) which has decimated red squirrel populations. The grey squirrel's are much more resistent to it. Although, as you say, they can still catch it and pass it on.
Despite the bad press though, grey squirrel's are not the actual cause of the disease and we should be happy that they are not dying at the same rate as reds.
As I said Kev they don't intentionally do it. But the fact is they do carry a disease that they are immune to, but which kills the red squirrels sadly. The bad reputation they have is both unfortunate and, in my opinion, unwarranted. But it is still important to keep them away from the red squirrel populations otherwise we are in danger of losing them altogether. Red squirrels are still quite prominent in Scotland, but in England and Wales there are only isolated pockets where grey squirrels are actively excluded.

Hope it goes well Joey. @Gwladysover is right - try not to lose your temper. It's hard when you are so emotionally invested in the situation. I'm sure you are well prepared for whatever they say.
Lose my temper just got back we made sure my mother in law qualified for NHS Continuous care the own social worker who has been crap from day 1 just blurted out - you will not qualify, even after this .....scoring -

I just stood up & said thats it your sacked off this case - your supposed to represent us we have done all the work OK your sacked I will feed back to my MP who is interest on how this went - oh do that then I also stated if we go legal she will be named -

the meeting had gone very well till that last sentence she made - asshole

I believe a factor as well is that both types of squirrel are competing for the same food and the bigger and more populous grey will always win that battle.

The day after the Funeral - meeting this PM as my Mother in law was let to fall over in A&E - so we asked our MP to take it up for us for NHS continuous care as she has been bed bound in hospital for 3 months - the meeting has been cancelled twice as the MP caseworker has been so diligent, but I feel legal action will be the answer in the end - My barristers hat will be on beside my wife today - they will try to fob us off - I have anger attacks - i will have to prep our case ......

I spoke to a solicitor & he stated - NHS premises they let an 88-year-old lady fall to break her left hip & left wrist they operated - failed duty of care she went in with a heart problem - no different bed bound for 3 months .... pathetic & sad she will need a nursing home now before it was 4 carers a day & she could walk up her stairs ....

It may go legal after today ......
My mum was in a care home in Liverpool, one night they didn’t put the side rails up on her bed,
During the night she fell out of the bed and broke her leg, she was left for 3 hours before one of the caregivers found her

While recovering in hospital she got pneumonia and passed away, we sued the care home,
It wasn’t about the $$ it was about the negligence, and the fact she was lying there for 3 hours.

I have heard that it is good for the plant ,I was told to plant an apple tree on a dog's grave -Sorry I know that is a hard word to read today .

Good morning all on this wonderful morning here in Finland .I hope all have a great day and evening today as we need it .Off to the doc's for a blood test ,just a regular once a year thing fro my cholesterol levels but of course they include other stuff as well ,one is the prostrate which always makes me worry more than I would like .I have to test my B.P. for a week and note it down twice in the morning and twice just before bed .This time the figures are good ,not one over 140 and considering when I first found out I had a 174 is quite heartening .I also do a Spira test for my asthma and note that down .
Anyway no breakfast and worst of all no tea before I go .

Good morning mascoteers hope you're all being your best selves today, looks like another decent day ahead so might head down the docks today for our main walk.

Not looking forward to tonight but I'm in a place of apathy these days, I think the Premier League has killed off my love of football the way it's become a money pit and I can't stand the amount of top flight players for numerous teams, simply not putting the required amount of effort in, overpaid tattooed millionaires just don't give a flying one about the clubs or fans, just line their and their agents pockets and I've had enough pretty much, don't enjoy it any more.
