Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Started looking for yoga classes in my area, found one not far £60p/m or £7 a session, I can't really afford that and the classes are all on zoom, may as well use youtube. I would rather be shown the techniques correctly before doing it on my own and not sure you can do that via zoom you need to be shown and helped really, bad technique can make you worse.

I don't drive either. I'll keep looking and hopefully find something. I have been wanting to get into meditation and Pilates for a long time but never done it, I find the process of meditation hard as I don't know how to calm my mind, not sure if that's part of my mental health issue but I'd imagine so. Everything costs money and I am poor unfortunately.
Can you get yoga or Pilates sessions paid for by your GP. I know that some NHS areas will pay gym memberships for people who need to exercise. Might be worth asking about it. We used to do yoga at lunchtimes in work - part of a staff wellbeing initiative. I went a few times and discovered I have the flexibility of a concrete post! Love the pic of Daisy by the bench.

I love Shaggy and Scooby. Probably my favourite cartoon characters. Them and the Penguns from the Madagascar films.
Wacky Races. Muttley is my absolute fave.

Edit; Just seen the Top 3 request

1. Muttley
2. Top Cat
3. Danger Mouse

I am not including Gerry Anderson in here - they are puppets but as you all know Captain Scarlet beats them all! ?

Hello everybody. Tomorrow I am going to tackle the moles in the garden. That should be fun and keep me out of trouble for a while. Need to cut the grass too. Not looking forward to that job. It is also a year today that we had to rehome our two sheep. Still miss them. They were like two large, very friendly but not very bright dogs. Here's a little pic of them

Morning all. A bit quiet in here this morning. Everybody sleeping in?

Bit overcast here this morning but forecast to brighten up. Think I'll give the bed linen a much needed wash today and let them air and dry out in the sun. May also go for a nice walk this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day.
What is this ‘sleeping in’ thing you talk of?

Morning everyone.

Yet another beautiful day and remarkably I woke up without any back pain, well only a tiny amount.

So, yesterday I went for some physio. Absolutely excruciating as he worked on 2 discs that he said were a problem. Interestingly he said that one of my legs is longer than the other ( fairly common apparently) and that as a consequence I was "tipping over " to my right and causing the disc problem. Strangely this resonated with something from my youth because whenever I had the lengths of trousers adjusted I was told that one had to be taken up more than the other but I've never thought no more of it.

So he's given me some exercises to flex my back ( according to physio due to yoga my hips are extremely flexible and that compensates for my back - so I suppose that will be great if I ever have kids ?)

Off to get my thatch that's called hair cut this am. I must look like a grey Boris Johnson - shudder the thought.

And then I might sneak off to the gym before Fred finds out and says I'm crazy - he's right you know!

Have fun in the sun.
