Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all and what a beautiful one it is. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of an early walk, best bit was the lovely cold air filling my lungs.

Trying to get myself a bit fitter again after recent injuries but I’m making a good stab at it ?

So here goes my pick:

1. Homer Simpson
2. [Poor language removed] Dasterdly
3. Skeletor
It's mad that you cant have the shortened form of Richard on here!

Morning everyone.

Yet another beautiful day and remarkably I woke up without any back pain, well only a tiny amount.

So, yesterday I went for some physio. Absolutely excruciating as he worked on 2 discs that he said were a problem. Interestingly he said that one of my legs is longer than the other ( fairly common apparently) and that as a consequence I was "tipping over " to my right and causing the disc problem. Strangely this resonated with something from my youth because whenever I had the lengths of trousers adjusted I was told that one had to be taken up more than the other but I've never thought no more of it.

So he's given me some exercises to flex my back ( according to physio due to yoga my hips are extremely flexible and that compensates for my back - so I suppose that will be great if I ever have kids ?)

Off to get my thatch that's called hair cut this am. I must look like a grey Boris Johnson - shudder the thought.

And then I might sneak off to the gym before Fred finds out and says I'm crazy - he's right you know!

Have fun in the sun.
I usually am?

Cal used to say it was a family trait. And she was spot on.

Morning all. I've been out in the garden since 9am, just come in for a cuppa. The mole hills have been flattened and nuked with frozen garlic - apparently they don't like strong smells and this was recommended as a humane way. Watch me have the only moles in County Durham who like garlic flavored worms! Grass cutting now in operation- a two mower job. After we had to get rid of the sheep I bought a cordless mower. It's great but the battery only lasts half an hour. The cable on the other mower, even with an extension lead won't reach the bottom of the garden so I've been doing the bottom with the cordless one until the battery ran out and I'm about to start at the top with the cable mower while the battery on the one charges up. It's a lovely day and nice to be outside. Gym tonight- last night was brutal. Had to get the Epsom salts out for the bath. My legs appeared to be be moving independently of any brain function. Have a great day all of you. Also thought of another cartoon I loved. I think it was part of the Banana Splits, possibly called Arabian Nights? There was a short rotund chap in it who could turn himself into any animal just by saying " Size of an <insert any animal you wish>. Loved that guy. Really wanted that superpower!

Morning guys, lovely day but Daisy was being a Richard so only a short walk.

Bit mad but after talking about the Navy the other day and talking about my Scouse friend; I was mates with 2 brothers who were scousers, one was in my class and one joined a week before us; I used to go to theirs a lot and so became mates with their other brother who was a civvy as well, anyway, i have only really been in contact with one of them last few years and the other 2 both added me on instagram this week.

Just one of those weird coincidences after I was thinking about them.

Have a great day you lot, enjoy the weather.

Afternoon all, bit late today, spent the morning at my friend’s sitting in the sun under her magnolia tree. It’s 50 years old and absolutely huge, looking lovely despite the frost the other morning. Going to plant some potatoes in containers this afternoon. Enjoy your sandwich @Armaghtoffee , make the most of the good weather everyone.
We've just planted some courgettes and carrots. Ran out of compost to do the potatoes so that's a job for the weekend.

Just done 3 sacks and two pots. Have to say I’m a bit disappointed with the organic compost which seems to be an excuse to sell shredded up twigs and assorted bits of wood, there’s even a few bits of plastic in there ☹️. Was hoping to get a trough of carrots in but it’s too coarse for seed so that will have to wait.
