Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I'm allowed a face to face consultation if after urine tests and blood tests I need to speak to someone. Anyone get the feeling they're milking the covid now, barely anyone allowed face to face, some only working 3 days.

Pee take if you ask me, I class myself as a fairly good communicator and I struggle to say everything and get the responses I want, god knows what it's like for people who struggle with communication or are hard of hearing like @Gwladysover neighbour.
My next door neighbour is a GP and his car is outside his home most days. So he must be working from home doing phone appointments.

During the time it took me to write the post above the whole area is now banked in cloud. I mean, I know the weather is prone to change quickly down here but that's bloody ridiculous. So being a bit of a fair weather junkie I'm going to put my walk off for a another day. Rain looks imminent. Anf just to make me into a complete liar, the GP neighbour has just gone out in his car. lol

I have a fantastic doctor who has given us his private number ,he rings me to see how I am but on the phone he doesn't listen to anything as @Gwladysover says they have to make so many calls in a set time ,yes wrong but nevertheless it is fact .Do keep on at them as it is your right.

Beautiful sunny morning again down here and light winds. Think I'll go for another walk and put back the dusting for another day. The rest of the week is looking pretty wet and stormy so make hay when the sun shines as they say. Think I'll try a footpath from the village over to Meuden which I've never done before. It isn't a long walk but will be a couple of biggish climbs as it goes down into a dell and up the other side. Probably quite boggy at the bottom, especially afger yesterdays rain. There's a fantastic hotel at the end of it with the best hotel garden in Cornwall. Like a lot of the gardens around here it's a valley garden with it's own "beach" at the bottom. But I think I'll save that for a nice summer day and go there for a cream tea.

I think the walk may have a view of where I live so I'm hoping I'll be able to take a nice phote when I'm out. Hopefully this one won't be too big to upload. How does that work anyway.? is it down to the amount of detail in the photo.? If so, I may have trouble uploading other pictures taken in some of the lovely gardens around here when in bloom, which will be a shame.
Hi Fred on your camera there are settings ,go into them and it lets you choose the amount of pixels (resolution) mine ranges from 8mp down to 0.9mp so I have it set on 3mp and a screen ratio of 4:3 not that I know if that is the best but it lets me post on here .

Got my hospital appointment today, which I thought was going to be my last before a bit of breathing space. Got a phone call asking me to go for another one tomorrow. Fortunately, my son who is coming down from Nottingham to take me today, can stay over and take me tomorrow too.
We will all be wishing you the best tomorrow ,good luck and best wishes to your lovely wife .How do I know she is lovely ,well she has put up with you ! Stay strong that man.

Get the dusting done now then.

Morning all, still cold but a bit scared to put the heating on with the price hikes.

just watched Gordon Ramsey's new program, doing a street food challenge down in Cornwall @Barnfred 55 looked beautiful but they were charging £8 for a cheese toasty, is it very expensive down there?

I saw 9 magpies all together last week, never seen that many before.

Dr will be calling before 9 hopefully, got my little list of problems ready ffs lol
Just watched it on catch up. Glad I didn't go there for my lunch lol In fairness the beach(street) food in Cornwall is usually very good but we normally just got a pasty. A lot cheaper too at between £3 and £4 generally.

The beach they were on is Towan beach in Newquay, one that we've never been to. As the name would suggest it's right in the town centre and terribly difficult to get parking. Plus you're spoilt for choice for beaches in and around Newquay. All of them along the north Cornish coast have the most beautiful golden sand, especially when the tide is out.
