Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Just watched it on catch up. Glad I didn't go there for my lunch lol In fairness the beach(street) food in Cornwall is usually very good but we normally just got a pasty. A lot cheaper too at between £3 and £4 generally.

The beach they were on is Towan beach in Newquay, one that we've never been to. As the name would suggest it's right in the town centre and terribly difficult to get parking. Plus you're spoilt for choice for beaches in and around Newquay. All of them along the north Cornish coast have the most beautiful golden sand, especially when the tide is out.
Worked in Newquay in the late 70s, some good pubs then The sailors arm , Newquay arms and the Bristol

It was a good time, quite a few scousers down there at that time

Excellent visit today to Windsor Hospital. They told me that before they can decide on treatment for my throat cancer, they have to strengthen my heart which has been weakened by 15 years of Atrial Fibrillation. They reckon it will take about 2 months mainly through changes of tablets. Some small consolation knowing that they don't think a two month delay is going to impact too much on the cancer. My heart today, when they tested it was 127 beats a minute. Didn't seem that high to me as once, when I was in hospital with AF they told me that the rate was 230 beats a minute. Used to go on for 12 hours.

Glad your visit went well, hope the treatment goes well too.

Went to Barnack about 12 miles away this afternoon. We used to bike there as kids and ride up and down what was known and the Hills and Hollows. It was created when the stone was quarried for Peterborough cathedral. It’s now a nature reserve and cycling is banned. Some of the area is cordoned off to protect the rare plant species which grow there but it’s still a great place for walking. Good evening folks. @fandjango - a small insight into the world of childbirth for you. lol Totally undignified! Glad you escaped relatively unscathed and are looking forward to getting back to Spain. @Methuselah your trip to the docs sounded promising. Hopefully they can sort your heart rate out and then start treatment. How's Mrs M doing? @Terrarian Keep badgering them, don't be fobbed off. I agree that GPs appear to be taking the mick. @Gwladysover Love the pics of your childhood play area and also the robin. @Barnfred 55 well done on the dusting and love your pics too. @chicoazul I went to Burnley once -ordered a lasagne in a pub for lunch. It came with a generous topping of mushy peas. Interesting combination. @jazzy How did the coaching go? @Armaghtoffee your steak looks lovely. We've just had breakfast for tea - bacon, sausages, black pudding, mushrooms, fried egg and chips. Have to say it was awesome and I had been to the gym so there was some damage limitation.

Not much to report today - spent the working day trying to catch up on everything I couldn't do yesterday because of all the IT issues. Very nervous about tomorrow. We so need to win. We also need some luck, every mistake has the worst possible outcome for us. I'm going to a retirement do tomorrow afternoon from 3pm. Drinks with a work colleague in Darlington. I may have a few drinks to numb the match watching experience.

Have a lovely evening everybody x

Yeah, some of those food shacks/vans look and sound great, we don't have anything like that around here, a burger van is the only street food as far as I know. Sounded a bit expensive to me as well even though the local produce is always a bonus. Last time I was down that end of the country was Torquay back in 98 i think lol
IPTV ?

I found by chance that I have AF although here they call it FA .mine comes and goes and I have beta blockers but try not to use them as my regular heart beat is somewhere around 50 bpm and haas to my knowledge gone down to 39 bpm hence the reluctance using them. By the numbers you have given mine is nothing in comparison. Have you had a harness fitted for a day or two ?
Great news that they don't seem perturbed by the wait hopefully they will then get you sorted .Good luck .

Good morning all on this crisp and sunny day here in Hyvinkää .We had about 8inches of snow yesterday and it finished too late to tackle it ,luckily the plough guy has been and pulled two runs out for me ,it really breaks the back of snow blowing .My only problem is it is much harder around zero when the snow is trying to melt .
I hope all had a wonderful nights sleep and wake afresh to face this beautiful day ,have a great day all you mascoteers . No mention of the match !!
