Worked in Newquay in the late 70s, some good pubs then The sailors arm , Newquay arms and the BristolJust watched it on catch up. Glad I didn't go there for my lunch lol In fairness the beach(street) food in Cornwall is usually very good but we normally just got a pasty. A lot cheaper too at between £3 and £4 generally.
The beach they were on is Towan beach in Newquay, one that we've never been to. As the name would suggest it's right in the town centre and terribly difficult to get parking. Plus you're spoilt for choice for beaches in and around Newquay. All of them along the north Cornish coast have the most beautiful golden sand, especially when the tide is out.
It was a good time, quite a few scousers down there at that time
