Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

No I haven't watched Howard's Way. I really must do someday. Can you get it on Youtube?

Didn't know that about Pat. Good on him. Didn't he once have a problem with drink or am I making that up? Shame he still hasn't got Mandy Smith in tow. That would get the old hearts racing. lol

Afternoon all. I’ve been very neglectful of the forum again recently and I daren’t even try to catch up on what I’ve missed in here!

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the bipolar beginning of alleged Spring.

I’m in Liverpool atm, waiting patiently to palm the kids off on my sister later today, ahead of the missus and I heading to the races for the next 3 days.

All very exciting BUT tempered slightly by, idiot that I am, me obliterating my lower back at the gym on Thursday. Lots of booze and painkillers needed over the next few days but I’m determined to enjoy it after 3 years away.

No I don't think you can. It pops up every now and again on Sky Documentaries if you can get that. I think Pat did have drink issues. He comes across as a genuinely nice guy- quite emotional at times, especially when he's talking about the European ban. As for Mandy Smith - how was Bill Wyman never prosecuted? She was 13!!!
Don't know Anj. I mean I think they've both admitted it in auto biographies. I saw a doc on her once and she was really ill by the age of 20 due to being on the pill from 14. Her mum has a lot to answer for too. Did you know her mum later married Bill Wymans son. You couldn't make it up.

Enjoy mate. I used to always go Thursday and Friday.

Make sure you take advantage of Eggs tips in the horse racing thread. He's not always right but he's better than the so called experts on the TV.

Ooh lovely. Have fun. Hope the back holds out. Have to say I've never been to Aintree for a race meeting. The only time I ever went there was to see Michael Jackson in 1988.

Not sure yet Blue, I've decided to get my floors done so I will have to think on it when I have sorted everything out.

Morning all, big day ahead, I had a dream we got relegated last night, don't despair I was also a player lol
Did I mention you can get perfectly legal IPTV if you just want something to watch .
I never used them as I already have this subscription and it works .

Fantastic. You've got watch it @Barnfred 55 You will love it. It's made with such warmth and love. Loads of my mates up here have watched it and really enjoyed it - without having any emotional connection to either Everton or the city of Liverpool.

Morning all. I love the Big Match Revisited. You wonder how some of the stand out players would have fared in these days with lighter balls, better pitches and loads of protection from tackles. I reckon they would have been world beaters. As an aside I still think Martin Dobson was the most skilful player I have ever seen wearing Royal Blue. Could be teenage nostalgia but he was just sheer quality. Oh for him and a Bob Latchford right now, today. @Gwladysover II've been doing Octordle ever since you mentioned it. Today was the first time I've ever solved it! Feeling very smug. Hope that's a sign of a wholly positive good day.
Remember Wimbledon he got a hat trick but no match ball ?

I was there mate. Remember it like it was yesterday. My die hard RS workmate admitted after that game that we were better than them. That Trevor Steven goal is still my favourite Everton goal of all time and also a special mention for Badgers nutmeg before setting up Andy Gray's first. Special times. We really were the best team in the world that season.
It is sad to see how far we have fallen ,calls for Latch and Dobbo are OK but what about Gray tonight . May happen that the Gray we have will save us .

That handsome devil bagged me £300+ off a tenner each way the other day so I’m definitely hanging off his every word!!

Thanks Anj, me too!! Hopefully the missus doesn’t get fed up of my snail’s pace and leave me for dead.

I had never been to horse racing of any sort before my good lady dragged me along in 2009 and we’ve been regulars ever since, apart from the year our youngest came along a few weeks pre-meeting and the obvious last few years. Great days out and you meet some awesome people. Plus, I get to do my bit to prop up the ailing bookmaker economy.

That was the Bad tour wasnt it? We saw him at Cardiff Arms Park, and I am sure you will agree, it was fantastic. Absolute peak of his career.

Hello friends.

After a couple of busy days, today im having a slow morning at one of my recruiting events so taking advantage of my free time to catch up to this thread. On Monday and Tuesday I gave my first campus tour to a big group of eight graders and it was so nice to show them around while telling them the many reasons why my college will be a great place for them to enroll. So I’m loving my new job for many reason and I’m also enjoying all the walking I’m doing. Yesterday I almost did 20,000 steps and the best part of it is that the weather has been gorgeous and our campus has some beautiful views of the mountains. I’ll make sure to post some pics in the next few days.

I apologise if @blue1948 or anyone else felt as if my response regarding relegation as negative. I know for many of you Everton has played a larger role in your lives, than for me who is a relatively new fan, so I understand your agony of seeing us on such position, but once again in the perspective of things, it is just footy. For me at the moment, and this is a personal opinion, there are bigger things to worry about such as the massacre that happened to the people of Bucha. So while I don’t want us to go down, and I actually still think we still have a chance at saving ourselves, I just can’t allowed myself to be in despair over relegation when everyday I am feeling anguish for the suffering that’s happening around the world. But I apologise if this sounds insensitive or negative to some of you. I’m sure the effects of relegation would be huge and I would prefer for us to stay up, but regardless of what happens I’ll still continue being an Evertonian. For better or for worse.

Have a lovely evening everyone!
