Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Today, had what I thought would be my last hospital appointment before some much needed breathing space. At the end of the appointment, the Doc asked the nurse about fitting another appointment in, she said Friday this week. I asked (nicely) to find a day next week. Fortunately, they said they would.
I’m sure it must be overwhelming having these many appointments in one week, so it is nice they were willing to accommodate your request. I hope your treatments go well and that very soon you won’t have to be at hospital appointments as often. Xx

Morning all. I love the Big Match Revisited. You wonder how some of the stand out players would have fared in these days with lighter balls, better pitches and loads of protection from tackles. I reckon they would have been world beaters. As an aside I still think Martin Dobson was the most skilful player I have ever seen wearing Royal Blue. Could be teenage nostalgia but he was just sheer quality. Oh for him and a Bob Latchford right now, today. @Gwladysover II've been doing Octordle ever since you mentioned it. Today was the first time I've ever solved it! Feeling very smug. Hope that's a sign of a wholly positive good day.
Congrats on Octordle. Have solved it a few times but I usually only manage about 6. Hope the positivity lasts until at least 9.45pm.lol

Thanks Anj, me too!! Hopefully the missus doesn’t get fed up of my snail’s pace and leave me for dead.

I had never been to horse racing of any sort before my good lady dragged me along in 2009 and we’ve been regulars ever since, apart from the year our youngest came along a few weeks pre-meeting and the obvious last few years. Great days out and you meet some awesome people. Plus, I get to do my bit to prop up the ailing bookmaker economy.
I had never been to a race meeting until I met Mr F who loves it. We've been to quite a few courses over the past 30 years. Highlights being a couple of St leger meetings at Doncaster, a 2000 Guineas meeting and for our silver wedding we went to America for the Breeders Cup at Santa Anita - which was amazing.

Having said that I love Redcar best. Spend the morning on the beach, fish and chips for lunch then the races in the afternoon. £6 entry on the course!

I've been out. Ended up driving because I didn't want to undo all my good healthy eating from this week so no beer. I actually had a really nice time. Good to catch up with the work colleagues, some of whom I haven't seen in real life for two years. I also wore make up for the first time for ages - felt like the love child of a drag queen and a clown. I've obviously got used to the "natural" aka "can't be arsed" look.

You can add a zero to that for Aintree. At least.
