Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Afternoon all. I've been having a clear out this morning- mostly trying to tidy up a bookcase that was absolutely bulging. I hate throwing out books but some of them had to go. I'm not sure the Reader's Digest Atlas Of The World circa 1967 is of use to anybody. There were children's Science books that would be so out of date now - and quite possibly wrong that also had to go. I'm feeling quite proud of my re-arranging skills, we now have an Everton section, a cricket section, a Stephen King section, a Beatles section, a serial killers and other weirdos section. I also found a £1 note, a photo of my graduation (mature student Liverpool Poly 1991 - oh to be that skinny again!) and my stamp album that I got for my 9th birthday ( the date was written inside) I kept that. Who knows what hidden treasures could be inside it! lol I don't really think stamp collecting is a thing anymore is it?

Hope you are all having an enjoyable day. I'm now having a cuppa and looking at the trees at the end of our garden. Their leaves are starting to come out which I love to see.
I was in hospital for two and a half years from 7 and one thing I did was to collect stamps ,I had about 10,000 mostly worth nothing but I left them in the ambulance on the way home ,I have collected since and now have about the same but I am sure they have a similar value as the first lot . I just cannot bring myself to part with them .I would love to find a child who wants them . Hope you enjoyed the cuppa .

Garden day today. The front meadow is now manageable, the rear orchard is getting there, (some blokes coming to do the heavy lifting in May, hopefully).

Lobbed some trailing pansies and fuchias in hanging baskets, but had 3 trailing fuchias left, so 2 are in a pot on the patio wall, and I found a pot that fitted perfectly into a chimnea. Once they take and grow, it will be a blaze of colour.

Wild pansies (I think), and bluebells have said hello as well! Just got to settle on spots for some lovely plants @Joey66 was kind enough to send me, and 6 rock rose shrubs. All 6 in a group in the front I reckon. After a few years they will merge into a wonderful island of a vividly coloured poppy type flowers bush.

Talking of poppies, got a packet of seeds the other day, so add them to ^^^^^, the place will start to look like the garden Nik and I were planning. Wild looking, an insect hangout, and colourful.

tldr.

In fairness AT that's my good quality authentic Chinese dark soy sauce bottle I pick up in China Town whenever I'm up in Liverpool. I hadn't put any on at this stage. i use light soy in the cooking process, and sometimes my hand slips so I give it the taste test first before I add any more. ;)
Nil Satis when it comes to soy sauce. I was jesting though, it looks like your glass is full of it.

Loved getting out to China town for a meal but a fussy eating child soon put paid to that.

Sorry AT. Not on the same wavelength for once lol

That is of course not soy sauce but a very nice Argentinian Malbec. And it didn't stay full for very long.

Have you tried the ‘19 Crimes’ range? Had a bottle of Rebellion last week and it was unlike any red I had tasted before. Part aged in rum barrels and almost jammy sweetness.
