Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi everybody. I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine. Its one of those days, as described by Charles Dickens as 'when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.'
Mr F and I had a very productive day yesterday. The carpet fitters came and went, we did about 8 trips to the tip, moved a few things over to the house and sourced a plasterer for a little job we need doing. Having spent all day running about we had a spontaneous visit to Redcar and had fish and chips on the beach in the evening sunshine.
Today has been less hectic- work, now watching Pointless.
Have a lovely evening all x
Loved the line from Dickens, never heard it before.

Hard to beat fish and chips on a beach. I’m very jealous now.

Interesting fact. Our Paul went out with Jimmy Case's wife before he came on the scene. She used to live in Tewit Hall Close and I'm sure her name was Lana. A real looker as you would expect. Mind you, all our Paul's girlfriends were. Don't know how he did it. Jimmy's younger brother Frank used to play for Speke Town. Frank was a cracking lad.

We used to play the South in the County Comp. They were a decent side and always had a good fan base for that level. The NW Counties must have lowered their standards if they're accepting Jericho Lane as a home ground. We won the County Comp 3 times (which back then enabled you to apply for the NW counties). On the third occasion, (as a club, we were very close to the Liverpool County FA and often used to represent them in national competitions), they offered us the use of their facilities at Walton Hall Park, which was declined by the NW Counties as their stand was not fully seated. We were a pub side FFS.

Who did you play for F, I played for a few teams in Speke , Metal box Speke Argyle and a few others, did have a trial for Liverpool school boys got to the last 16 done my hamstring in that was the end of that, some good players back in the day

Wow, the floodgates have opened. Now the Integrated Care Team have put in place cleaners and gardeners to help me. Now this is real support and I am truly thankful………
That’s wonderful news for you Pete , it seems like they finally listened to you telling them what you need , well done you and well done ICT for taking a practical approach to what you need.

We were Speke Town, then we merged with Dunlops abd became Speke FC. After I finished playing I was treasurer for 25 tears.

Aye aye Lord Nott.

(Doffs cap).
I doubt she'd ve interested in a Scouse scal like me.😀

She has her own wiki page FFS. Her name is Miloska and she is Slovenian. She's a recipient of the OBE, as is my eldest sister, so we'd have something to talk about. She was married 2 years before I was born though
