The fact he played a full 90 tonight means he won't feature against Belgium and I'm happy with that

Got to give the Northamptonshire reds some credit like. It's no mean feat using a phone with webbed hands.

Allowed a player wrong side first half but I put that down to the system they were playing, and 1 misplaced pass.

The distribution from the other defenders and midfield was awful. First half especially he was the only player finding the front 3 with his passes

I don't. I've seen that mistake too many times from him, faulty positioning and then not the strength to rectify it. I don't think he will end up being first choice for Carlo, he's just not sharp enough. (that's not to say he hasn't improved his game hugely, I just don't think he will be good enough for the team Carlo wants to build)

Eighty % of his game is the easy safety pass, can’t read a game, still not aware of what’s going on around him, much too nice, why would you give him the armband, you need an inspiring player to captain and inspire his fellow players, Michael is not the man, doubt, very much, he is here to stay with Everton, not good or strong enough.

He really has improved his passing massively, played some great long balls forward for us this season.

Eighty % of his game is the easy safety pass, can’t read a game, still not aware of what’s going on around him, much too nice, why would you give him the armband, you need an inspiring player to captain and inspire his fellow players, Michael is not the man, doubt, very much, he is here to stay with Everton, not good or strong enough.
