2024/25 Michael Keane

While I agree with the general sentiment, I actually think that does him a bit of a disservice.

He has on occasion been an albatross - and he will know all-too well how nervous he’s made the fans in the past. He’ll know that his name on a team sheet makes hearts sink.

But I think the real credit has to come from him sticking at it, and latterly showing that he’s got it in him.

We as fans have hardly shown him encouragement, but he’s kept going anyway.

I think it shows really good mental resilience - something he’s expressed previously that he’s struggled with.

I admire the guy, for all he’s made me bite my knuckle in frustration on many occasions.

I really hope he can keep steady for the rest of the season from here.
What you’ve done there is completely explained my point 😂

Cringing at the lads that go missing from this thread for 11 months of the year coming in here like

The Keggerman scoring worldies and delivering clean sheets.

Let your apologies be as loud as your criticism.
He's had a hundred awful games for us, making several mistakes in each and costing us dozens of goals and points over the last five years.

He's well past any redemption now.

I'm glad he was better than usual, and I'm grateful for that. I'll even give him praise. But I don't expect this run of form to continue and even if it does, he doesn't deserve a new contract because he's let us down SO many times before.

He scored a good goal yesterday so this rewriting of history was always going to happen.

The goldfish memories of lids about Keane is a thing to behold.

Made up he helped keep a clean sheet and scored another banger yesterday, but he’s needed punting out the club for about 3 years at least, as he’s cost us many more points than what he’s earned us.

Hope he continues to play well as long as he’s in the side, which should stop as soon as branthwaite is fit.

Love any goals but I want a cb to be able to defend at least moderately well and do his job first, thanks.

He's not the answer and everyone knows it. But id never begrudge him a little spell where he's having a good time. He's had enough bad ones so good luck to him.
The danger is when he struggles, and he will, is that dyche will now use a few games against lesser opposition as his long term solution.

Correct his tenure here has been a disaster.
