Was not good today, but he had no support and lets not forget he has never played with a defence that is in any way balanced for us.

Put Holgate next to him, keep Seamus in his place and either Baines or Garbutt at LB and he would look the player we thought we were signing in the summer. Put him with Williams and Martina again and gashness will be the outcome.

The lad is just not good enough just take a loss on him and move him on
Holgate on the other hand has lots of potential and should be in the team for the rest of the season

Holgate and him should be in the team for the rest of the season. Have they ever played together?

When pundits in the States describe your defending as "abysmal" and "terrible defending", yeah, I think you are just about done at the club. Had such high hopes for the lad too.

Is a lighthouse. The only thing that turns is his head when the ball goes behind him, around him or is in front of him.

His legs certainly don’t move and one thing is for certain there is a calamity about to happen when that heads spins round.

Former England defender Stuart Pearce believes Everton have stolen a march on the Premier League's leading clubs with their move for Burnley defender Michael Keane.

The Blues hope to have a deal tied up before Ronald Koeman's squad returns for pre-season training next week.

Keane is valued at around £25m and should the Blues secure his services then he would become the club’s most expensive ever defender.

But Pearce, speaking on Talksport, said: “I’ve got to say, if Everton get there before any of the top four, five or six, I’ll be astounded.

How do you reconcile this with the gaping flaws in his game.

Will the players around him compensate for the technical flaws is in gam.

when players run at him he hangs a leg out side on. This should have been coached out of him years ago he is the easiest defender in the league to skip past after Williams.

Will the other defenders suddenly provide him with the strength to win headers when his opponent leans on him.

Granted he can win headers that are coming directly at him from the Front but everytime he has to deal with an opponent leaning on him he is outmuscled.

Cant run

Clearly has temperament issues seems to have no heart. He does lack confidence however l he is 25 and has played for man united. If he hasn’t switched on now I doubt he ever will.

I’m sorry but he is our worst signing as he has limited excuses for being so poor. Homegrown played in the league before highly rated.

I Concede Koemnan playing him wide in a back 3 didn’t help & he had a bad injury but the basics of his game don’t stack up.

I don’t like him one bit

I thought he did well today until their 1st goal. When he fell apart. But he doesnt look like a good defender. As i say he looks stoned most matches.
He was absolutely appalling from the first whistle to the last. That first goal was coming all day, they were playing on his complete lack of mobility with that ball from the off.
