Migrant Crisis

Indeed - though the solution to situation there is not to support Kurdish emigration, its to support the Kurds in building a viable state on the land they now control in what was Iraq and Syria, of course including getting the rival factions together.

Well yes. I suppose the two can go hand in hand. I suspect the solution is to stop arming groups of Arabs in the vein hope they might do as we tell them, stop invading countries we don't fancy and creating wars etc.

That's fine, if we need migrants then go and get the ones with the skills we need, and not just whoever slips in on the back of a wagon.......
seriously... and there was no issue when this happened? The second we decided we didn't need people as cheap labour any more the same arguments cropped up with people who were actually setlled here

Again the UN has to tackle ISIS and extremism in general, for the west to inflict a military defeat is to drive more ordinary Muslims into extremism.

Eh? Tacklle ISIS & extremism in general - but don't defeat them unless you want more muslims to become extremists?

'Ordinary' muslims? What's 'ordinary' about ISIS that 'ordinary muslims' would sympathise & tag along with their barbaric ways?

Hopefully, though the same mob that did that are still going around saying much the same things as a way to fix the mess they made.

Of course whites are less employed than any other ethnic group. They make up the vast majority of the population in the UK!

If take the the percentage of unemployment you'll find that whites are less unemployed than the other three subcategories: blacks, asians and other ethnic groups.

However, this was not a debate on race, but rather on Romanians and Bulgarians (who are, by and large, white). Please do not turn it into a debate on race. As a moderator, that's the last thing I'd expect you to do.

Calm down, that wasn't what I was trying to do, but funnily enough, there don't appear to be unemployment statistics by nationality. I suspect your claim that there are as many Romanians here on the dole as currently in work is wide of the mark though, unless you're suggesting that nearly 15% of all white unemployed people are Romanian?

Well I don't know where to start with this. Like NATO are "sorting out" ISIS in Libya? Or Syria? The same forces who back ISIS were the ones who were idiotically providing support and arms to hardline Sunni extremists a couple of years ago in the hope they would sort the problems out for them. There are absolutely no guarentees NATO would keep any of them safe, and as indicated no Kurd would be happy to claim asylum in Turey and feel safe. I know I wouldn't, given the government there have butchered thousands of Kurds.

As regards the border, it is widely acknowledged that ISIS control the Turkish border anyway. So they have no need to go over it, they have a friendly Sunni government across the border anyway, so there is no need for them to do such a thing. NATO are yet to act over this. Whether out of incompetence or stupidity we will never know, my money is on a mix a both.

NATO, led by the USA and Obama have been an abject failure over this issue, because the USA will not put boots on the ground. ISIS is not attacking any NATO country and to date has caused us no inconvenience. Turkey is a NATO country and so the whole force of NATO would be applied to it's defence, as per the NATO treaties. ISIS would be destroyed within a week and they know it. Therefore Turkey is a safe country.......

Have you ever noticed how physically small the UK is compared with say, Argentina, Russia, the other countries of the middle east, Iran, Iraq, India, China......how many refugees or economic migrants do they take in each year ?
In terms of how dense population is in the built up areas of these countries then I would imagine we have a lot more space than most. So what are you suggesting? that there is plenty of land to build on in all nations and migration shouldn't be an issue? That would involve a lot of organisation from Governments but I am all up for that Or am I missing the point as usual and you are suggesting that everyone should be looking to move refugees to the Antarctic?

Then your definition is confusing isn't it? Given they were living in Istanbul for over a year and so, weren't moving to avoid being killed;

No matter how tragic the end result, they wern't fleeing immediate danger. They were safe. They were moving for ec

Their asylum application had been rejected in Turkey so they were heading for Canada, where they already had family.
