Migrant Crisis

exactly that, "the news" .. I'm questioning the media's motives and proper, full reporting of the facts.

re: Germany I'm still in touch with some of my ex-colleagues, they are regular working, family people ... and they are concerned about the influx of migrants. They don't want to see more. Their point is why would anyone / any country want to re-settle or offer asylum to so many migrants ? I'd like to see the media ask that question or anyone stand up and ask that question without being slated as racist / facist / inhumane.

The 3 y/o infant who drowned, (sorry he is Syrian not Turkish as per my previous post) was buried in his hometown today. How the hell did he and has family get back home so quickly ? I guarantee this ... scheduled airline from Kos to Kobani would take longer even if you had made reservations. How much of this is orchestrated by the media and why ?

It was a survey of the German public. Not the news manipulating. The same feature also said that refugees were being welcomed by Germany because a lot of them are skilled (or have the potential to be) and they will alleviate a demographic problem that Germany will be facing quite soon.

We solved this yet then?

Yep, we decided that the rest of the European nations should put in similar amounts of aid money as the UK does, that refugees will be identified for immigration only from UN camps in Syria, that transport direct to the country of settlement will eliminate the traffickers and that anyone breaking into Europe will automatically be sent back.......

from the guardian

Philippe Douste-Blazy, who advises the UN secretary general on innovative financing for development, told the Guardian’s global development correspondent Sam Jones that it all goes back to poverty.
“The wave was 10cm high two years ago. Now it’s about 40cm high. But for your children, it will be 30 metres high. Why? Because 2 billion people in the world earn less than $1.25 a day.
The difference between now and 20 years ago is that everybody looks at everybody now – it’s the globalisation of the economy and the globalisation of communications: internet, TV, radio. It’s very new.”

interesting, basically people are fed up of poverty, how deep is this gonna go?

All people surely means anybody. I want to exclude anybody who can't improve our country. These migrants don't offer anything of worth, there are plenty of Syrians in our country who have come here through the correct channels because they where able to bring a certain skill.
well, all people in the context it was said doesn't mean 'anybody' but I reckon we are at the point where you can only argue with what is in your head.
but I think I have got the message already that you don't care about people in desperate need. people's worth is hard to see and it can be argued that everyone brings value, but as I think that is not within your morality again all I can say is that for your sake I hope you never have to rely on other people's good nature

To be honest, this is a huge advantage to ISS who are looking to send fighters into europe. Nothing we can do about it

we don't know they are looking to send fighters into Europe though. What is the advantage to them? they are struggling to fight in regions where they have a stronghold. If they were deciding to have some kind of small scale invasion, then why use a route that is this perilous and under scrutiny. If they are a serious threat then they would clearly have more sophisticated means.

I think what we disagree on is that these people are in desperate need. They aren't in need, they simply want.

its an obvious opportunity to set up a splinter cell of ISIS right in the heart of europe and the UK. ISIS fighters will pose as refugee's, make out they are settling in, wherever they are living, and then hatch a plan to create havoc.
