It depends How bad we get Vs who else is avaliable at the time.
But,
It won't get that bad and Silva's going nowhere until at least the end of the season - maybe not then.
The correct summary of our situation. Not saying I'm 100% happy with It, but no point bellyaching over it.

Obv Tim i agree with most things that you say but i'm not sure about that last sentence. "and we will regret it".

I just don't see how you can be so sure. I mean, he's never actually been a head coach.

For every Lampard, Gerrard there's a Neville, a Shearer.

I think at best it's a punt isn't it?

Everyone is a punt. From the worst to the best managers in the world. Our problems are far deeper than just managers.

But I think football is moving on and young managers are coming to the fore. Lampard just always looked like he'd be a good manager to me. It's hard to explain, but he has the stature in the game and more importantly a sort of intelligent charisma about him. Don't underestimate charisma as a factor. If you can make players believe that's half the battle, maybe more. That doesn't need a shouter at all but it does need a confidence and calmness.

I see Arteta in the same way. There's just something I like. Add in the Pep factor, the fact arsenal very nearly went for him, and he knows our club, and it all looks appealing to me. I think he'll be a top manager just like I think Lampard will too.

This reminds me of our aversion to signing Van Dijk because he only played in Scotland, and us signing a no mark lump in Funes Mori instead. We will persist with no mark Watford rejects, whilst Arteta will get his chance at a bigger club than Everton.

He may be a good manager. But Everton should really never be anyone's first managerial appointment. Dom Torrent had been with Pep a lot longer than Arteta. He left to go manage NYCFC. Arteta needs to do the same IMO.

A lot of people say he would be a gamble, I don't see it that way after all we have won nothing for many years under so called experienced managers, he is one of us, knows the league really well so why not give him a chance.

Probably take over from Pep at City.

I do feel though that will be a poisoned chalice like United was after Ferguson. From a personal point of view it would be easier for Arteta to come away from City to manage to begin with.
