No thanks. Guardiola's style of play only works when he has superior talent and resources. No chance it would work here unless Moshiri invests another billion or two into the club. Its also such a boring style of football when played by average talent. Try watching the current US mens national team, it is absolute garbage.

What evidence do you have that he is capable of such feats.?
Since he has never had any managerial experience whatsoever it is impossible to know what kind of manager he will be, it’s all just guesswork and supposition.
In football terms it would represent a ‘hit and hope shot’ and I expect a more considered and logical approach from the custodians of Everton F.C..
Hit and hope sums up Evertons custodians.

Thing those saying no, who do they think we are getting? Were not getting Jose as he would be here right now if so, were just not going to attract a top manager, we really wont, there is a reason why we have been getting managers from Watford, Wigan and Southampton

I just think that if he is that good in terms of being a manager then why don't City want to keep him to replace Pep? they are in the process of grooming Van Bronckhorst to replace Pep so they clearly don't fancy Arteta for whatever reason.

Some managers who have learnt the ropes
Moist
Hughes
Pardew
Bruce
Curbishley
Pulis
Coleman
Warnock
Plenty of experience there,it doesnt make you the man for the job,I'm not saying Arteta should get it but every appointment is a risk

I answered yes, not because I'm super enthusiastic about the idea but because I'm not sure which experienced manager with a winning track record we could attract as an alternative?
If we're going to take a punt (and many of the managers that have been proposed in other threads, from the Dutch or German leagues, for example, would most definitely be a punt) then a fella who knows the club and the league and who has worked under Wenger and Guardiola isn't a bad place to start.

Arteta has been trained up ever since he joined them. He is the succession plan.

Personally (and I can't belive I'm saying this) i'd sooner we just pinch our noses and persue Benitez. We can get arsey about it all we want but he's head and sholders above any manager we've during the premier league era apart from Royle and Kendall and he's so much better then the last few clowns we've had as manager or anyone else being suggested as a replacement that it's embarrassing.

I would love him but i cant see it happening because of the value of the contract he has down there
