Even though he's a well respected and deemed by all in football as a talented coach? Bob on with likes of Unsworth and Ferguson who appear to have been gifted jobs a long with Osman being an ambassador. However not sure Arteta would fall into that category.

My biggest concern would be whether he has the character to lead and manage.

It was more 'tongue in cheek' if anything mate. However, I wouldn't want to take the risk on Arteta simply because by the time we need a new manager, the club could be in real deep trouble. It's one thing coasting along with the Premier League Champions sitting next to a top manager and pointing at your iPad every few minutes, it's a completely different kettle of fish to be in the hot seat at a struggling club, low in confidence and motivation, and making them successful.

So which big time managers would come to us.The club that employed Sam Allerdyce 18mts.
We had to employ Sam due to circumstances Koeman left us in, It doesn't have to be a big time manager I said we can get a chancer like Silva but maybe he's done it in a harder league like La Liga or Serie A. I like the look of Marcelino and he's a free agent but I'm not Moshiri so.

If Silva goes we cannot attract a proven manager so you saying you like the look of Marcelino which is fine but he has no experience of the prem and the type of games that are played in it.But Arteta has played in the premier and has now been with City as assistant for two years under pep surely he would be a better option.Don't get me wrong I would love to have a top manager here but it not going to happen so your choice and mine are both risks as is Silva as was koeman.

PL experience means naff all, Koeman/Martinez/Silva all had it and it's hardly proved effective.

Arteta would not be on his own he would have the experience of Brands with him. Give him a chance for 2 years, can't be any worse than what we have already got surely.

Yes it could. Very easily. Remeber when we sacked Koeman? Everyone agreed he deserved the sack, and he did, but things got far worse very quickly after he left under Rhino so much so that we had to reach out to BFS to bail us out.

Arteta has zero experience as manager, nothing. Its one thing to take a chance on an inexperienced manager another to take a chance on somebody who's got zero experience.

As for having Brands with him well you'll have to forgive me for not being filled with much confidence there either.

He could be much worse.

And managers that manage low budget sides and play pack it in crap footy is not going to work, either.

And Marcelino is WAY more qualified than Arteta and frankly so had Silva when he came.

Pep also won the 3rd division with Barca B. Arteta needs at least a season somewhere in charge. We aren't that desperate.
