I got told the same price in the shop I bought mine the other week and told it was needed to be sent away . I went to timpson in central station and he done in there and then for £15

Timpson gave lifetime guarantees on their batteries.
Not sure if they still do.
I took my wifes watch back last week for a new battery with the guarantee card, dated from 2008.
Not even arsed about being a cheapskate.

I recently wanted a photo blowing up and framing for my mates birthday.

I took it to all the usual places, Max Speilman etc and was getting stupid prices, took it to Timpson on the off chance, no problem, done and dusted 25 quid.

Got a pair of shoes re-soled at Timpsons recently. The shop up the road from me wanted £45 and it would take 4 days due to a backlog. Timpsons near my work did it in 24 hours for £28.

I hate people who do that. These were a pair of Ted Baker brogues which lasted a good 3 years before needing to be re-soled.

Loads of people in my office walk around sliding their feet on the floor. You can hear them coming a mile away, does my head right in.

I always used to go to the cobblers on Fenwick street. Really good and not that expensive. Had one pair of work shoes resoled and reheeled 3 times. I only buy shoes these days that can be repaired... Worth paying the extra money in the long run
