minor things that make you fume

Spent £160 on noise cancelling earbuds and I can still hear the gym’s terrible music. When does it end.
Beats?
If so, I found them useless as well. Sent them straight back.
Anker sport at half the price were much better for in ear.
There over ear ones are superb, and are generally what I go for in the gym. I don't hear a peep.
Even without the NC, once I have my music on, I hardly hear a thing. With NC on, everything is blocked.
Not so much on a noisey plane mind when you have screaming babies behind you. They do a good job and make it bearable.
Best I ever tried was Bose and Sony. If your gonna spend £160. You may as well pay the little extra and get them.
I'm a cheapskate though, so the Ankers will do.

"Wrapping" tortilla wraps.

Grrrr!

They dont wrap, they fold and flop open again like. They are the kopites of the bread world.
I tried to make rice paper rolls for lunch at work a few times, not once did they actually stay together so now I just buy them at a bakery pre-made.

Tacos is another one, we have them for dinner probably once a fortnight and I might as well eat everything individually as it just ends up a mess of meat and salad on the plate.

Now you see, I find square kinda stuff easier. You fold the points over.
Instead of folding over the flat ends, fold the corner point over the filling, them the 2 side points, them just roll it to the end.
Exactly the way they make spring rolls.

I got the Bose Quiet Comfort 1 ear buds. I would have gone for the latest version, but apparently they’re very buggy and not as robust. I’m clumsy so they will get dropped a few times.

They’re pretty good though, to be fair, and as you said they’re among the very best. I specifically chose these ones because they have the exact same ear fitting as my old Bose Soundsports. They don’t go as far down your ear canal as other in ear phones and sort of sit in the top part nicely. I’ve got to be careful with my hearing issues.

I’d imagine the noise cancelling on full over ear headphones would be a decent bit better, but I’d sweat my face off if I had some on whilst training.

Yep I use a pair of Bose QC35s at the gym specifically to block out the awful music, and I sweat like mad with them on. So much so that after a run parts of my face look/feel sunburnt and peel. Worth it though.

Edit - also the pads start to corrode through sweat after a year or so, cheap to replace if you buy the non Bose ones but it is a pain.

Please share with the group.
It was a phone call.
The only bit I remember was when I was asked if I wanted it logged as a complain
"Yes I damn well want it logged as a complaint, for what it's worth, ehat do you think Im doing? Not that the council will do anything. My option now, to save the environment, is either load it into a 60 year old landrover and drive yo the tip at 16mpg, or dump it in a ditch"
"Well you could contact your local councillor"
"What are they going to do, come around and let me load my recycling into the back of their car?"

Long story short ... I was right that they SHOULD have taken the item that was on top if the inside of the bin, for which they rejected the entire binful got an apology later in the week and I was assured that they'd re-educated their contractors.

Now of course the bin men look at me as if I were some kind of low life kopite.

I’m amongst the sweatiest people in the gym already so the buds will have to suffice. I’m considering changing gyms as mine is terrible. Trouble is there’s not many alternatives.

I’ve changed pads on my old Audio-Technicas and they’re not the easiest as you say.

I guess westerners do not care about this since Japan is your allies. It also probably won’t affect your food chain since you live far away in Europe.

Recently, Japan start releasing the 1.3 million cubic metres of contaminated nuclear wastewater from the destroyed Fukushima nuclear power plant into the Pacific Ocean. While their government claims that the nuclear wastewater is safe to drink, yet they decide to pour the nuclear wastewater into the ocean.

Just wondering why those hypocritical environmental groups decide to turn a blind eye on this issue? Carbon-14, Cesium-137, Iodine-129 and Strontium-90, surely all these radioactive waste cannot be purified.

In accordance with a report released by the plant's operator Tokyo Electric Power Company on 5 June, the level of Cesium-137 that can be found in fishes nearby the coastline, is 180 times that of the standard maximum stipulated in Japan's food safety law.
