Ali is his slave name mate, he wishes not be known as it.Footballers having their first name on their shirt, particularly when English players do it. Something about that just really irks me. Alli is the latest one, why have "Dele" when you had no problem having "Alli" last season you utter toad? And Ravel Morrison having "Ravel". Why? Who even are you? Do you think this makes you more iconic and recognisable or something? Jagielka should request to have "Phil" on his shirt next season, that'd actually make me laugh loads. Actual reason is along those lines. Something about it being his dads name or something and the way he was brought up with a different family member/name means he does not associate with that name as much as he does with his first name.
