Mirallas at the final whistle.

But it would have been MORE smart to take Gibson off. He was a non-factor in the first half and completely out on his feet in the second.

The calls for Mirallas to come on earlier are spot on, IMHO. I would have taken Gibson off early in the second half and brought Mirallas on. Mirallas goes to the left wing to provide more of the pace and directness that Deulofeu was applying, Cleverley goes to RB and Besic moves to CM to take Gibson's place.

Never mind, it's all done now. Hopefully Martinez will pay the price for his ineptitude today.

Gibson was our best player over 90 mins ffs.

Cards on the table. I love Mirallas. I think he is our best player by a country mile. And yes, he's a sulky drama queen at times but do you blame him given what has happened to him this season? Most clubs have their prima donna creative genius and he is ours. The penalty incident did not do him any favours but move on- it was ages ago. Why isn't he playing every week? I wish I knew. Agree with all of you above who have said he has seen through Martinez's ineptitude and has been frozen out.

Creative Genius? Blimey.....I can count on one finger the creative games he's honoured us with.

Don't know how much impact pelligrini has on transfers. Strange set up at City. A better guide would be his work at Villarreal and Malaga were he took clubs that were going nowhere and turned them both into successful teams.

Am I right in thinking he guided Real to a record points tally for a team which did not win La Liga?

It was only the exceptional form of Barcelona stopped him winning it that season?

Like someone said earlier - There was no problems with Mirallas during moylez, and none during martinez first season...

Such a great player that when he put himself in the shop window there was the sum total of one tentative enquiry regarding a £6M bid from West Ham. Maybe all the Champions League clubs were so busy redecorating their training grounds or something that they missed the boat to sign such a genius.

First of all, he didn't complete the 90 minutes.

Secondly, no he wasn't. Robles, Jags, Baines, Cleverly all played better over the 90. Gibson was very, very poor and his chronic lack of pace / movement caused huge issues for us in midfield, which is why we were completely overrun there.

I didn't say he'd played the 90 minutes....I said over the 90 minutes he was our best player....the English language isn't too difficult to grasp. If you thought he was very, very poor you either watched I a different game or supped too much ale.
