This. I don't think I've seen a link to a striker all season, let alone a competent one. If we had a striker we'd have 9 points already.

I imagine he'd only come if Baines is sold and then he'd be first choice left back before taking over from Distin. He's good enough to compete with Distin for starting position already imo

I'd really like to get rid of Heitinga before we got him in. Can't afford to bring in just two midfielders and this lad if the squad is the same, minus Fellaini.

Cant see it happening if only Fellaini goes. We have enough defenders and need more creativity

I agree. We also would be putting an awful lot of pressure on McCarthy to perform if he was Fellainis replacement. I'd prefer (obviously) another youngish midfielder in. Just can't see where money for that would come.

Unfortunately there's not a chance we will get a striker in unless one moves on. Given he's only just signed kone, that means jelavic or vic. Would absolutely love us to sign demba Ba. Can't really see many options for Ba in England other than us or Newcastle.

for me we dont need a striker we need a creative midfield playmaker we could have benteke up front but with out good service he wouldnt score either so if felli goes so be it as long as we bring in this type of player

He's deluded then!. He needs a CB as Ferdinand looks past it, hasn't played well once this season. CM looks lacking, Carrick is slowing. Only Cleverley looked lively today. Out wide there a bit short, Young & Nani were/are poor IMO.

He definitely needs to invest in the squad and I think todays performance will push him to desperate measure with regards to signings. He may even bid £40-45m for both Felli & Baines in end, and bid the going rate for Herrera?!.

I think we will see out goings before we see anyone else come in. Would like to see us buy a creative midfielder that has age on his side. A good goal poacher would be nice someone like Hernandez from Utd. Oh and whilst I'm at it a solid centre back.
