MLB 2023

Staying up late to watch every game has started to take its toll on me, I’m exhausted going to work every day but it’s so worth it. Couple of well earned days off for players and fans!!

I love this team. Whilst not superstars, I’ve loved the additions of Bader and Iglesias, just solid day to day players. You need them to allow the superstars to do what they do. Vientios is another but he will be a future star, hopefully this is just the beginning for him.

As Howie Rose said last night, we’re “heading to California!!!”

I'm hoping the split schedule for games 2, 4, 5 & 7 mean we get a few 9-10pm Starts next week.

But this side is just full of likeable players (and Diaz). I'd love a clutch HR for Taylor, he has been huge all season, a smart Stearns pick up which no one really paid any attention to.

It's been quite a while since my Astros have been out of the playoffs this early. Watching playoff baseball stress-free has been quite fun.

I am especially enjoying the Mets and Tigers, except when the latter beat us (of course).

100%. At the time, I assumed that Adrian Houser was the bigger piece Stearns brought over from the Brewers.

Love a solid defensive center fielder with some pop

They'll move quickly though once they break ground. The T-Mobile arena there went up like a shot.....

Folks underestimate how tight Fisher and Kaval are.

They're trying to sell shares in the team, but they're priced at a future value. Right now? It's not worth anything close to what they want. They're going to spend at least 3 years in Sacramento playing in front of no one. The biggest contract given out by the A's under Fisher is 60m to Chavez back in 2004(!!!) - and he's not going to suddenly start spending in the next 3 years.

I would not be shocked if this Vegas bid falls flat and they have to sell.

Save us, Joe Lacob

100%.

The fact that the A’s payroll in 2024 is lower, in real dollars, than it was in 2004 is absolutely inexcusable. Really hoping this whole thing falls through and they’re able to stay in the Bay Area long-term.

It’s a great fanbase with so much history. Worth noting that when the Giants were having trouble finding a location to replace Candlestick Park, the A’s ownership at the time gifted the Giants Santa Clara County territorial rights for $0.
