How about those Mets?!! Played Brewers at their own game and hustled for every run. The Iglesias play was unreal. Be an achievement to do it in 2 and get an extra day off before heading to Philly. They must be gassed after playing 4 games in 3 days with travel from and to Milwaukee with a pitstop at Atlanta in between.
Outside of that, it was a pretty good first night of October baseball. Great finish in the Tigers/Astros game as well.

OMG!!!!!!!! Give Pete Alonso what ever he wants in his contract. We were dead buried heading into that 9th inning and having to face Williams, an unreal closer. No idea where that victory was pulled from but I don’t care.

Holy sheet!! The Mets did it, NLCS here we come. I thought the Phillies would be one step too far, but apart from the blown save in game 2 it was all New York. Dodgers or Padres next. We could know who it is in about 3.5 hours time. Both teams are stacked with power hitters, but so were Philly.
Can’t believe it!!!!!! LFGM. The OMG, Grimace and pumpkin era roll on.
P.s Diaz needs to put in some extra work on these off days.

Most enjoyable experience I've had watching the Mets and I've been following for 25+ years.
The mettle and never knowing when to quit is amazing.
1am starts next week are going to kill me.
They remind me a lot of the 2014 Royals team that almost won it all

Since last Monday, I've seen the Mets come from behind 5 times, be incredibly clutch; leaders like Alonso & Lindor step up and show their worth.
It's just a very likeable side
Last night was the first time it felt like there was pressure. I've been here to enjoy the ride, to make the postseason was dreams come true stuff after the start we had.
Credit to Mendoza for getting the players to believe.

Staying up late to watch every game has started to take its toll on me, I’m exhausted going to work every day but it’s so worth it. Couple of well earned days off for players and fans!!
I love this team. Whilst not superstars, I’ve loved the additions of Bader and Iglesias, just solid day to day players. You need them to allow the superstars to do what they do. Vientios is another but he will be a future star, hopefully this is just the beginning for him.
As Howie Rose said last night, we’re “heading to California!!!”
