I like the NL game more, personally, so I'm okay with us staying there.

In retrospect the Brewers should have never been moved to begin with, because the 'Stros still have to deal with some ridiculous intradivison travel (Houston to Seattle? lolololol) but hey, whatever, I'm fine with things as they are now.

And on the note of the Astros, they were REALLY, REALLY BAD for years while building up that system they have. But hey, now they're pretty good, and will be contenders for a while now. They paid their price of not being the Dodgers/Yankees/Red Sox/Phillies, and now we get to pay ours.

Is "really really bad" a fair representative of how the Astros were 3-4 years ago? I'll say no. I'd say inexperienced and bet it what you Got, when you're trying to payroll a whole roster on $38m. Hard for supporters sure, but knowing it'll be worthwhile? Definitely got to be worth it!

Now the Mets team featuring Luis Castillo, Hawkins and such which were paid bucket loads to perform... They were a bad team. I'm happy for the Astros to win, they've played the waiting game and aside from a relatively small splurge in the summer when they thought they'd make post season, they have effectively done a David Vs Goliath, by beating the Yankees, which I believe is precisely what Keuchel deserves after a brilliant season.

Roll on post season!

In retrospect, this seems true. just as the Cubs have been really, really, bad for the past (runs out of fingers to count)... I do remember remarking that the Astros were the only team in baseball worse than the Cubs in the last year they were in the NL, until they both weren't so bad any more. Perhaps there's a lesson here, but then there's also the Cleveland Browns model, which is to be avoided at all costs.

In Theo we trust. Stay filthy, Jake.

What an embarrassment the Yankees are for spending all that money and still being tied into big contracts on mediocre (or worse) players for years to come. And they keep bringing Cashman back. lol

The old man was a horse's patoot, but he learned how to win, even though he alienated every person he encountered along the way. The sons are the same, without the winning.

It'll be interesting to see how long Maddon goes with Arrieta (6th and 7th looked a little shaky)

27 outs.

Pittsburgh deserves better than to win 98, play that well and then catch Arrieta as he is pitching right now. That's baseball.
