That second inning was a great antidote to the bad taste left from yesterday.

Masterful display of smallball from the end of the lineup to get this rolling - love to hear Joe talk about this after the game.

We'll keep bunting until you stop it. Oh, then a homer to center. Hola, Jorge!! Muy bonito.

About how many Chicago fans do you reckon were there? Do they have an 'away' allocation in games like this?

Not really. Playoff seats are pretty much first come first served after season ticket holders are given their shot. Illinois gets progressively bluer from south to north, and either way its just not that far to go. Stubhub etc... made lots of coin, I suspect. Cubs fans are always strong on the road, just like Evertonians. You'll see your share of red at Wrigley as well. They were guessing about 5,000 or so in Pittsburgh at the sites I read, likely much more in St. Louis...

Oh, and:

Harvey on the mound on Monday for game 3 of the Mets - Dodgers. Even if we win this series I don't think we have much left in the tank to over come either Chicago or St Louis.

Either way it's been a great season. De Grom, Syndergaard, Harvey, Colon and Familia have done some nasty work on the mound this year. Clippard on the other hand can get in the bin. Cespedes coming in really helped us keep the momentum goin and then the captain returned!!!!

Thanks for that. Ok that many can make some noise. It sounded quite loud on the video clips I saw overnight. Yep I know that about the Cubs going far and wide from fans I have met and because there always seem to be a few in the crowd on the road, and lots in the northern /mid west stadiums of course.
So that was a good result last night. These lads clearly believe in themselves and the manager. Fingers crossed Arrieta keeps up his form on Monday

Call me harsh, but the pettiness of Matt Harvey could easily cost the Mets in the long run.

His unwillingness to pitch more than what he's been set (even if it's by 10 or so) and the bizarre decision to not use him yesterday, when Syndergaard is superb at Citi Field, is very confusing. I don't think he's showing good professionalism, and I seriously hope he gets the win tomorrow, or it will be very awkward.

Tulo was great. The Texas manager gave the kid Chi Chi a taste of the big action and Tulo took him deep. Tulo also made a great grab in traffic to limit the Rangers to 1-run a little later.

Caught the highlights this morning. Not a bad way for Tulo to get his first hit of the series eh!
