13-7 wasn't it? To make it 2-1 in the series?

Wouldn't usually expect Harvey to give away 7 as startong pitcher but a win is a win!
Correct but Harvey only gave up 3 of those runs, he wasn't on his game but battled it out through 5 innings. Win tonight and they move onto the next round

The saddest part about the 'Stros/Royals series is that one of them has to get eliminated.

Every AL team except Texas is wonderful. So, nailed on that the Cardinals are going to win the World Series again.

Ace! Can you post these like everyday!?

So Mets can get to the half final thing tonight with a win. Who is starting pitcher tonight? Someone boss I hope.

Also, Bartolo Colon makes me think I could still make it in a professional sport!

I'll see what I can do, ijjy. When you look up "wily veteran" in the dictionary you get a foldout of Bartolo, y'know.

Nada bonito, pero sino muy eficaz. (edit - a mental visit from Dr. Fernandez, my HS Spanish teacher)

In a weird way, I think the Rangers may take it. I'm wondering if the Jays were a bit tight playing at home

I'd love them to really. Blue Jays have thrown bucket loads at being a success, and reasons why the Yankees are so unpopular is for that reason. Doing that proves Money does talk, a Dodgers-Blue Jays World Series would just be a travesty in the minnows like Houston's eyes.

I personally don't think Harvey is very happy, so even though he only conceded 3 earned runs, i'm just getting the feeling he's not comfortable in the Orange and Blue at the minute, I'm thinking him and that toad Boras may try pushing for a trade this offseason.

The Blue Jay's payroll for this year is around $138 million. That's in the top half of the league in spend, sure, but it's hardly obscene money. Heavy spenders like the Dodgers ($318 million) and the Yankees ($219 million) are on another level.

If you're Houston's front office, you're just excited you're in the playoffs this year. Their rebuild wasn't supposed to be finished for another year or two yet, but all of their young players have started performing early. And I'm sure 5 or so years down the road, the Astros will become big spenders as they try to retain a lot of their developed talent and bring in big free agents to patch over the holes.

Cheers for that Garrick, didn't realise they were so low, I see all these bumper trades over the last few years, and i've instantly thought they were in the high 190's. The Phillies are coming in at $144m? Christ. Talk about value for money
