Confirmed Signing Moise Kean

I'd be surprised if he didn't to be honest

Juve are a huge club

However, if we're smart we can plan for life without him, especially if we make it so the clause doesn't come into effect until after his second season

What I'm driving at is, as I think will happen, he realizes his talent is better suited to the faster pace of the Premier League and decides he'd rather ply his trade here and not get monkey chanted at every other week. He'd be coining it in with the money in the English game and I really think his game will make him a star here.

I think the pull of playing for the biggest team in his native land, especially if they guarantee him a star role, would be very hard for him to turn down

I'd be shocked if he didn't view coming to us as his own way of doing a Pogba, and that's okay if we play it right

If the "raw diamond" is better than we've got or can afford, what's the problem?
The problem is that you are back to square one in 2 years time without the striker you built your team around and their transfer fee won’t touch the sides of what you need.

I get that players will use us as a stepping stone and that’s fair enough as long as we get the actual financial reward when the time comes for them to go.

He quite literally already plays for them.

But if there is no1 else as good as him that we can sign at the moment....would you rather go from square one to square two for 2 years or just stay on square one where we are now??

Should give them a first option or percentage of future sale. Inserting a clause like that doesn't make much sense especially with him only having 12mths left on his contract. The deal Juve want is basically a two year loan. A very expensive one. Can't see Juve getting a buyback below £75 million.

Pogba already played for Man United. Went away to Juve, made his name, got brought back with a featured role

Kean isn't a regular vital part of that Juve side, if he was they wouldn't be selling him. He'll see coming to us as a chance to do his own Pogba. Come to Everton, score a bunch of...Blammos(?) go back to Juve in a couple of seasons to be da main man

Surely he’d just sign a new contract and ask for a loan in that case? There is obviously a deeper reason why he’s ran his contract down and seems desperate to leave.

The problem is that you are back to square one in 2 years time

Only if you don't prepare correctly

If you know it's likely that Kean is off in 2 years, then you get a plan in place so that when he goes you can jump right in for a replacement

And if Kean is a rip roaring success, any other similarly talented young player is going to jump at the chance to come here so that they can elevate themselves in a similar manner

Rinse, repeat

Of course I would rather improve but at this time Kean is only potential and we are rolling the dice on him. We could also roll the dice on similar talent but with a guaranteed better upside for us.

I would rather we were buying a proven deadly striker but that doesn’t seem on now.

This is the problem. Not many of them about and available

Pogba ran his contract down too at Man United, but still went back

Pogba hated Ferguson and Ferguson hated him. Who knows if it's the same with Kean at Juve, but there's more to it than simply first team football imo. He is only 19 too don't forget, can't really be demanding a starting role for one of the top teams in Europe.
