I can only go on the fact Juve seen enough in him to give him game time; going from Ronaldo to Gylfi as a strike partner is a bit of a step down. He no longer has an abundance of world class players around him, surely most people would have expected this froma 19 year old Italian, who doesn't even have a full season of top flight football under his belt.

He hasn't been great but neither have the team, I can't lay any blame at this lads door, he gets a lot of leeway on the criticism from me, he's being asked to do too much in my opinion.

...I agree, and i’m not giving up on him. The Italian team manager also talks about his talent. I just want him to provide a ‘that’ll do me’ moment. I’m not after him scoring a 20 yarder or go past 4 defenders, I just want a piece of play to impress me.

I presume/hope he’s doing that in training, because if he isn’t his teammates will find him out.

I don't buy into the formation being the problem. There's time when you see players doing really good things on the pitch but their impact is limited by the team's structure. Not the case with our forwards. I just think their movement is poor and they aren't great with the ball at their feet.

There's no way you could justify going with two up front considering what we've seen until now.

I think I'd give two up top a try, I actually think Dom and Keane could compliment each other quite well. Our formation ends up as 4-2-4 most of the time anyway, then you have Digne and Coleman up there, and we wonder why we get exposed.

I just can't see it working. They won't be exchanging one twos like Yorke and Cole. I could just see us being even less creative than we are now with two lads up front who are very easy to mark. But hey, give it a go against Sheff Wed by all means. Not like we could get much worse!

I think if he can get one if he'll relax, hopefully anyway. He must have something about him to be called up to the full National side. He's been in England literally 2 months, I think we can give him some grace.

No way, no experimenting , it's a must win lol. mind you, what's our strongest side at the minute, a few out of form.

Not being funny, did skinning 2 defenders then getting fouled not impress you? They called a foul on him there(even tho it had nothing to do with the play) but his little footwork could have had him in the box completely free.

It was a mistake not to buy a senior striker, too. Barring some massive turn around, it'll have to be addressed in January, as this situation can't be allowed to continue until the summer.

I feel sorry for the kid. He needs someone up front with him. Play him up top with DCL or Tosun and I think he’ll be much better.

Not signing a senior striker in the summer is going to bite us in the ass massively

We all desperately want him to succeed, but my concern is the lack of evidence we have a talent.

This.

It’s not that he’s not scored. As a fanbase, we don’t need all that much to get really excited. A bit of strength to put a defender on their backside, a bit of skill to bamboozle a full back. A bit of pace, running past a few players before working the keeper, or even shooting just wide. Any of that and we’d be falling over each other to say “the goals will come”.

The real issue is that he’s not looked like scoring. He hasn’t displayed any flash of what we signed him for. If you’re after a scapegoat you’ll blame Marco and the system and absolve Moise of all responsibility.

But if you’re being honest with yourself, really truly honest with yourself, you’d accept that he also hasn’t played particularly well and should really have done better.

So yes, even after FIVE games, for £30m, 19 or not, leading the line for a big PL club, that’s the bar. And he’s fell quite a way short.

Fully expect DCL to go back in the line up, which will do Kean no favours in the long run.

Sandro.

It’s a massive ask to put a 19 year old as lead striker. Especially when they have moved to another country.
Add inn a layer of crisis and it’s almost doomed to fail.
He should be starting off the bench and getting used to the league.

Crikey, nowt like giving the lad a bedding in period. I've seen bigger names and more expensive players take longer than 6 games to find their feet.

Outrageous shouts from our 'fans'. Poor lad has been hyped out of a settling in period, top fans.

AFTER FIVE GAMES????

Have you seen anything in those FIVE games from Kean that make you think he's good enough?

It depends what you mean by “find their feet” and what you mean by “bigger names”.

For what it’s worth, only Balotelli, Rooney, Lukaku and Jesus have gone for more money than Moise Kean, to Premier League clubs as U21 strikers.

All scored within their 1st 3 starts in the Premier League. Nobody is saying that it’s alarming Kean hasn’t scored.

I’m saying it’s alarming that he hasn’t looked like scoring, even bearing in mind the extent to which Evertonians are prepared to clutch at straws, he’s not been impressive and that’s saying something.
