2019/20 Moise Kean

Feel sorry for him already, won't be long before he's called shoite like DCL and Tosun, the service he gets is pathetic. Can only think of Big Dunc as a former striker who would thrive here. Sideways, back, sideways, out to the fullback and crap cross. Rinse and repeat.

Strikers will come and go, and we will label them as useless, but the problem is not them, we can not produce. simple as that. CR7 wouldn't be much of a star in this team either

I think he will improve and agree with the suggestion that the service he currently gets is awful. However, he is also making very little for himself either.

Is it correct to say that our three strikers (Tosun, Kean and the utterly pathetic DCL) have one goal between them in 7 games (league and cup)?

Salah and DeBrunye weren't good enough for Chelsea when they were younger.

Not suggesting he will ever hit those heights, but writing off a 19 year old after a couple of starts in a team that has struggled to create much for any of the strikers and under increasing pressure is madness.

Whatever you think about the service, the movement from all of our strikers is pathetic. They are clueless on how to get half a yard. You put them in other teams in the league and they wouldn't score any more than they currently do.

Genuinely think he would though. Lukaku scored for fun here because he was a top class striker who knew where to be. You can't create chances for players with anticipation/movement like ours. They are so easy to mark.

What people want on here is the ball being put on a plate for our strikers in the six yard box. That's only going to happen if they are clever enough to get into those positions.

The best teams have players in forward positions who terrify the opposition when the ball is at their feet. If DCL and Tosun control a pass and lay it off we see it as a good piece of play. Different expectations completely.

Thought he was the next big thing?

19 or not, coming from another league/country or not, you'd still expect him to have a better first touch, make better runs, be smart enough not to make stupid little fouls on defenders and spend less time throwing himself to the ground.

He's been poor.

I agree he's been disappointing but he needs the ball to his feet. What's the point playing him and knocking in crosses and corners all day?

Anyone who thought this lad was going to come in and be scoring loads needs to have a look at themselves. He’s a young lad who’s played a handful of games and been transferred to a new league, playing in a side that doesn’t create chances, and where he’s outnumbered by centre halves.

We should have bought an experienced goal scorer as well.

Some of you are actually writing him off already.
State of our fans.

Exactly. There are players far more deserving of criticism, who are experienced and internationals.

Our Icelandic Dynamo is one that sticks out, although the majority of the others could be up for it.

Writing him off is daft, saying he’s another Sandro is - at the moment - daft, but let’s be clear here, he doesn’t look like he’s ready to a main striker for us yet and that’s bad. Yes he’s 19, yes it’s a new country for him, and yes there’s no reason to suppose he won’t go on to be an incredible player for us. That’s fine. The club was more than happy to push the idea that he was going to be great though, they made a huge song and dance about getting him, so you can hardly be surprised when fans are underwhelmed by what they’ve seen. We needed a proper striker desperately and on current evidence we haven’t got one. People were always going to be unhappy if that’s the case.
