A swap and a bit of cash might be enough to tempt Rangers to part with him.

To your second point, the point i’ve made repeatedly is - Why is Moise Kean, who few would dispute is a talent (and some would argue is a future world beater) getting so few minutes in a team that is underperforming when so many u20 players across Europe are getting regular minutes for clubs at all levels?

That’s the question that nobody seems willing to put forth a rational answer to.

Because the team has been struggling, the manager needs to bank some points, and it’s unfair to the kid to put the burden on him when he’s so green.

If we had a settled side that was performing decently we could afford to start him and let him get bedded in.

I can see the reverse argument- if things are so dire why not give him a go- but we don’t have our best XI settled yet so it’s not just a matter of slotting him in. We’ve stunted the development of several young players by throwing them to the wolves.

I think we’ll see plenty of him later in the season when we’re more settled and he’ll end up doing well.
 
It’s criminal that him and DCL have been relied upon to be a first team CF at their ages.
That’s not even considering he’s come from a completely different league.

Not sure what’s best for him to be honest, he hasn’t shown anything to say he should be starting, but if he has no game time he won’t get used to the league.

If he was English or had less of a reputation he would have been sent on loan to get game time, the price tag and how thin our squad is upfront means it will never happen.
 
Although it was minutes, I was pleased to see him get involved Saturday, interesting to see him out wide but he did track back, put in a couple of challenges and help set up the goal

I've never once said or implied he isn't good enough. Quite the opposite, i've said clearly I think he will become a good player in time. I'm just questioning why he isn't getting more game time than he's got, to be able to make the mistakes that all young players make and need to make in order to grow. There are potential reasons for that, some of which we can only guess at as fans.

In the minutes he has played, he's not match sharp so he hasn't looked very good. Others have said that in this thread too. I don't think any would argue that he should have got more time than he's been given, especially given the poor run of results we've had. Even in some of the victories, I've no idea why he didn't play any part against Sheffield Wednesday.

He's a grown man, this is a player we should set high expectations for. Ease him in by all means, we're a quarter of the way through the season, we have no clear CF. The team are underperforming, missing a clear cutting edge in attack - if only we had a £30m international striker sat on the bench, twiddling his thumbs.

It says a lot that you get approximately 95% negative responses on this forum, because you either chat complete tripe or are a rubbish WUM.

You haven’t insinuated he isn’t good enough? What the hell does “channelling Big Vic” mean? Countless suggestions that he “isn’t stepping up” or “isn’t doing it in training”?

No one is fooled by your “I hope he comes good lads, honest”. The fact you keep coming back for potshots at him after every game is very telling. It’s going to be great on here when he starts banging them in and you get vaulted for the rest of eternity.

I haven't taken the time to calculate my positive:negative response ratio / %, so I can't comment on that one.

That's your conclusion, not mine. 'Channeling Big Vic' was an attempt at humour, perhaps that one didn't transmit. The word 'channeling' does imply temporary too, so I wasn't saying that Kean = Anichebe, it was just a giggle.

The suggestion that he might not be doing it in training was a pure guess, based on the fact he's not starting and I can't understand why. I don't keep coming back for potshots, he's just still not starting!

You take all of this so personally don't you?. Any minor criticism of any player and your toys are well and truly out of the pram. It's OK mate, we're all shooting for the same thing here.

He's a walking red card with a terrible temperament. It's only the fact he plays for Rangers that means he's not sent off every week.
Ref's would crucify him in the Premiership, and that's without taking VAR into consideration as well.

You might want to check his disciplinary record before Rangers. Then also check his record last season which debunks your “isn’t sent off because he plays for Rangers” theory.

Well Silva fan why not just wait until Kean is given a decent chance, Defoe you must be having some hang over.

He was let off lightly last season, the Ref's are allowing him to do whatever he wants this season.
