2019/20 Moise Kean

Striker position is the most difficult in the game, not sure how so many expect a 19 year old to hit the ground running when players like pepe are still trying to adjust

Coming in and not hitting the ground running puts him in the same category as Bergkamp, Pires, Drogba, Henry and David Silva. A 19 year old on a 5 year deal so let's not panic just yet.

And if people haven't spotted the glimpses of quality that he has shown in some very short cameos then they haven't been watching.
No , it doesn’t put him anywhere close...

Also a gigantic problem for us so far this season is the lack of service to whoever's up front. Sigurdsson has been terrible as a No. 10, Schneiderlin acts like a sniper is going to shoot him if he passes forward, Gomes has been out, Digne has been not up to his last-year form as an attacker, and Coleman's crosses are close to useless, especially aimed a forward whose strength is not the aerial game. Not much use in having Kean up top if he never touches the ball.

With the lineup we had against West Ham, with Gomes, Davies, Sidibe, Digne, Bernard, Iwobi and (I never thought I'd say this again) Walcott all getting forward very well, sure, put him in for a half. That fluid attacking front four we saw on Saturday would suit him well I think, and he wouldn't have to be the only guy.

Only a blind person would dispute the qualities he has shown in those cameos.

He has shown quality, so I’m quite relaxed that he will do well for us.

I think the team we put out and the way we played against West Ham would have worked well for him had he been given more minutes. The only reason he wasn’t was probably because Silva was nervous given the previous run of bad form. If we can continue playing like we did on Saturday, I’d expect we’ll see a lot more of him as the season goes on.

I haven't taken the time to calculate my positive:negative response ratio / %, so I can't comment on that one.

That's your conclusion, not mine. 'Channeling Big Vic' was an attempt at humour, perhaps that one didn't transmit. The word 'channeling' does imply temporary too, so I wasn't saying that Kean = Anichebe, it was just a giggle.

The suggestion that he might not be doing it in training was a pure guess, based on the fact he's not starting and I can't understand why. I don't keep coming back for potshots, he's just still not starting!

You take all of this so personally don't you?. Any minor criticism of any player and your toys are well and truly out of the pram. It's OK mate, we're all shooting for the same thing here.

Yeah, it appears your idea of humour is a bit of a wet fart.

That bit in bold really did make me laugh out loud however. Apart from all the many, many players I’ve vociferously criticised on here over the years, yeah you’re right.

Spot on. Add Drogba to that list as well, he scored a small handful in his first season, and he was about 26

My idea of humour is a wet fart. Duly noted.

....... while you’re laughing out loud at bold text.

Anyway, is Moise starting at Brighton or what?
