2019/20 Moise Kean

Yeah I get that, the point was more about them 3 in particular though, all can play across the line and none of them were having any real joy, neither Richy or Kean were troubling their fullbacks and DLC wasnt having any success,I just thought moving around a bit for that 3 would have at least had the Watford defenders having to think about the game a bit
Very much so, i think longer term the idea is to have a front 3 more akin to the RS and the way they interchange with each other but we still need a proper right sided option yet. As for last night, i do agree there were times during the game were i thought we might have gone for it a bit more but Silva just seems very stubborn in his ways and refuses to change things most of the time (fortunately it paid off last night)

Wasn't helped by playing in front of a shaky Coleman who seems to have lost a yard of pace and be a little bit more nervous about it now. Walcott, when he plays the way he has been the last few games, offers a lot more protection to the full back and confidence that he will cover if the full back goes on a run.

At times last night there were three out of Coleman, Kean and Iwobi/Gomes all faffing about in the same ten yards and all being pressed.

Kean obviously has to get to grips with the pressing and athleticism of PL football and, quite rightly, he isn't going to be fully trusted as a centre forward until he does show that he can deal with it.

Are we calling people who want to see Kean given a fair chance in the team football hipsters now.
I don't think that's the important point. It's this idea that Kean has to play now / more.

Look across the park at the shower with Fabinho. How much did he play at first? It took him a fair while to get to grips with it.

There are lots more examples. It's not even November yet and Calvert-Lewin / Richarlison are starting to get a few goals. There's no rush with Kean.

Giving him 45 mins last night I'd imagine was more to give him some match sharpness. It clearly wasn't working so he got took off.

There's nothing to see here imo

Hope that this doesn't turn into a Lookman situation again

The guy is super talented and in the minutes he has played thus far, you can see he is better than Calvert Lewin. I hope Marco starts to put him in front or CL in the future.

I think he should get more chances or more than 20 minute cameos where Silva lobs every attacker on in some dodgy formation to try and win a game, He really needs a goal to get his confidence up and running, He's highly thought of and I thought he played really well against Wolves up front but then dropped against Bournemouth away, I agree it's going to be a slow process but he needs way more than he is getting for me upfront and no where else.
@ me you Coward
I would if it were directed at you, @GrandOldTeam said it last night as well.

Isn't that akin to signing a creative midfielder for example and asking them to play DM and they struggle to create from their own half?

Or asking a giant centre back to play full back to stale a claim and they struggle with speed up and down the wing?

Do you see what I mean?

...no, I don’t think it’s akin. The position he played last night allowed him to get in attacking situations. He had a run in on goal through a central position that he failed to capitalise on. Richarlison had a very similar opportunity and scored. He found himself in similar threatening positions he’d have found himself in when he’s central.

His key role was as an attacker, I didn’t note him covering Coleman much. He still gets the ball with a defender in front of him, he still found himself in the penalty area with the ball at his feet.

He needs time in his position looks more of a winger to me tan a CF........

I did, at half time when there was fume at Walcott coming on;

Sorry to the football hipsters but Kean was totally lost out there.

Probably because he was stuck out on the wing but he needed either putting upfront or hooking.

Walcott has done alright recently as well.

The level of fume towards Silva having the audacity to make a sub after a woeful first half wasn't proportionate IMO.

Fans fume that Silva never makes a proactive change, or an early change - he did that last night, fair play.

We're not a nursery. We haven't won a trophy for over 24 years.

Everton > 19 year old still finding his feet.

Moise Kean needs time, an patience, but not at the expense of Everton's pursuit of a trophy.

Correct evaluation. That's piped down those millenial virgins. The lad is only 19. He still has much to learn and should be used sparingly and at the right time. Having said that however I would have expected Silva to use him off the bench last night once the play started to open up (maybe last 20 minutes).
