2019/20 Moise Kean

....I’m not sure I understand your point. The lad has been signed with the intention of playing him. The fact he’s not secured a place is down to his performance.

I’m sure Silva/Brands did not intend for him to play so little. Like all players, he has to earn a starting place. He’s been a disappointment but Brands hasn’t got many wrong thus far.
I just somehow doubt he played as a lone striker at Juventus, although I'd never seen or heard about him before the signing. Silva's system doesn't suit him at all,and given DCL's goal return, his transfer fee and his international caps he'd have expected to start.

Don't think he's looked at all lazy anyway, just looks like he needs a goal, once the first goal comes think the pressure will be lifted and he'll be sound

Do think he needs more chances upfront though not just 20 mins when where chasing a goal

Him instead of siggy on Saturday would have been the perfect time to show what he could do

....in my opinion, this is nothing to do with systems, nothing to do with being a lone striker. It’s not Marco Silva’s fault. It’s not the fault of the crowd. Kean has been a disappointment, he’s not performed well. Folk are looking for excuses, but only Kean can turn his fortunes around.

Why are several of you so desperate to label this bloke a racist? Jesus christ.

He's called someone lazy, as far as I can see, he hasn't said any of the above - only you have said that.

Again, as far as I can see, he's not said anything remotely racist - get off your high horse, you're not woke.

If I'm wrong i'll hold my hands up, but this mob mentality needs to stop.
I never said anything about race.

I’d say it’s more jealousy than anything else. Why else do nearly all of our young players get abuse from our fans? They can’t handle the fact that a young lad earns more in a week than they do in a year.

Getting a run in the team is the only way he will adapt and gain confidence, 15-20 minute cameos in a team that’s generally been struggling all season is not the way to do it, and the longer it goes on the worse it will get. Tell him he will start him every game for the next 5/6 then I’m sure we will see the player we hoped we had signed with at least a couple of goals under his belt.

I'm not sure Kean is lazy to be honest, but from what we've seen so far, he's just not very good.

You can't leather him too much as he's a young lad and in a new country, it takes time to settle.

But from the game time he has he's barely set the place alight.

Mitigating circumstances for now but you'd have liked to have seen more.

Because, other than Rooney, all of them, to a man, have been built up to be world beaters and later transpired to be crap?

It's nothing to do with jealousy. It's the bi-polar, extreme nature of our fanbase. We have zero 'balance' to our opinions.

If a young player signs or starts, we never temper our adulation, he's always 'one of the brightest young talents in Football' . And that extends to any new signing, young or otherwise. It also extends to the team, as i've said previously.

A win against any team and we’re telling everyone that will listen that all is well and we’re knocking on the door of the top four (for reference, see the 'turned a corner' nonsense post Wham). If it’s a succession of wins or a win against an established top six team, that opinion becomes more ingrained in our fanbase, more widespread and more militant.

A defeat and we’ll question everything from the players, the manager, the board and even turn on each other as fans. As above, if it’s a succession of defeats or a defeat against a team we perceive as “beneath us” (which is essentially any non top-six team), those opinions become more ingrained, more widespread and more militant.
