As I said, it didn't work, but it's not a crazy idea. He'd come on and done OK out there in a couple of games (City and West Ham), we tried it for a longer period and it didn't come off. Maybe it will in future, maybe it won't, it's no big deal. If his entire career is ruined because we asked him to play 45 minutes in a position he may be mildly unsuited to, he probably wasn't going to be that good anyway I'll be honest with you.If he wanted to give him a try with DCL, which I am all for, then why not try that then, instead of forcing him into system?
He may be quick, and your striker to left back is an extreme example, but just that change of position can be a huge change depending on the player and the plan. If it was that easy, most centre halves would be decent fullbacks and vice versa. Most centre mids would be lost as a winger, and same applies the other way. Some players are negatively effected from changing between a 2 and a 3, playing the same basic position.
He's a young lad, and it's not the be all and end all if he's not fully up to speed, but all people ask is for a bit of consistency in approach. I mean, in 1 of our last games, I can't remember if it was spurs or not, he brought Kean on for Walcott. But kept Richarlison, who Silva has insisted is best playing off the right, in the centre, and left Kean on the wing. Now you could argue why make 2 changes instead of 1, but that's exactly what he did when he replaced Michael Keane with Mason Holgate, and switched Yerry Mina from the left to right, and Holgate, a right sided CB, to play on the left.
If we had a system that was fool proof, a team winning and full of confidence, and excellent team chemistry, I could understand putting Kean in any position, for minutes, experience, confidence boosts, etc, and players undoubtedly love playing anywhere they can when the positivity is flowing in that way. But we're not, and it seems crazy to me to do that in the situation we are in.
Could do with Mick Lyons up front at the moment. Fearless and a terrific turn of speedWhy would we play a centre half up front? It would be a throw back to the Mike Lyons era.
This, basically.Good god... hes the first player born after 2000 to score in the champions league and the Italian national team.
Youngest goalscorer ever for Italy
Scored in 6 consecutive games...
... and that's before you get to the racism controversy that did get quite a lot of coverage.
Being ignorant doesn't mean you have a point.
Oh lord, whatever will we do without Cenk Tosun for a week or two?

Everton? Two up top? Would love to know when we did this, No I don't count Silva or other managers chucking every attacker on to chase the game and rescue a point or 3.Surely we can play two up front against Norwich; give Kean his chance
Sky reporting he was dropped for the Southampton game for disciplinary reasons,
Any truth in that or usual sky bs?
Potentially going out on loan in January:

Roma 'enter race for Kean' with Everton considering loaning him out
Roma are reportedly the latest Serie A club to express an interest in Everton striker Moise Kean. The 19-year-old is yet to score a single goal since joining in a £27.5m deal from Juventus.www.dailymail.co.uk
The key phrase, and key instruction here is 'move on'. Done and dusted. Get your head down and take your chance when it comes. He's nineteen an desperate to play. Cut him some slack. If Silva got a tune out of Schneiderlin he can get a tune out of Moise.
