It sure will. At least in another 12 months we should know if he’s good enough or not, but we certainly don’t know now if he is.It will be interesting to read through this thread in 12 months time.

People saying he’s not good enough at this point is ludicrous!Yep, by then we will be in a better position to judge.
If you think he's been good enough up to this point? that's even more ludicrous.People saying he’s not good enough at this point is ludicrous!
I’m saying he hasn’t been given a chance! 15-20 minute run outs at the end of games during the season when we’ve been struggling is not a chanceIf you think he's been good enough up to this point? that's even more ludicrous.
I think it is close to being ludicrous by Silva for the lack of minutes on the pitch in which this young lad has been used, mostly on the wing, with the ball banged upto him head high. The lad was bought as a striker, likes the ball played to his feet. Foreign players from the past have needed more than three months to acclimatise to the speed and strength of English football,a lot of them turned out to be world class in their second season, like Henri and Birdkamp(?) at Arsenal, Firmino, Salah had to leave Chelsea and come back to England. Just give this young lad a proper chance. If you think he's been good enough up to this point? that's even more ludicrous.
Even then, at 20 years old he'll still be in the very early stages of his career and it still would be wrong to judge him as the finished article. It sure will. At least in another 12 months we should know if he’s good enough or not, but we certainly don’t know now if he is.

it's been disappointing that he's not been given much game time so far. To me it seems more and more likely he won't be leading our front line regularly any time soon, which isn't really surprising considering his age, experience and mentality plus the pressure on him and the pressure the manager and club is under right now. I think we'll see a lot more of him in 2-3 years (if he's still here) or if and when he's good enough. Easing him might be the right thing to do cos if he plays too much and fails to impress the fans will prob get on his back. it's not an easy job for him to come in and do and maybe the reality is he's prob not ready for it yet.I’m saying he hasn’t been given a chance! 15-20 minute run outs at the end of games during the season when we’ve been struggling is not a chance
