There’s a massive difference between seasoned pros like Schneiderlin and Gylfi walking through games being lazy. Fair enough bollock them and drag them off. Make an example out of them even. But a 19 year old lad with no confidence who hadn’t been given a chance. No way. That’s not how you manage any player I don’t care how you justify it.
The club comes first and I couldn't care less about the feelings of any football when we're in relegation battle. Get real!

He’ll be playing for a mid tabled Italian club this time next season.

Clearly something not right about the lad. Seems to always be some sort of controversy surrounding him. Just don’t think he’s the right fit for the club.

My point is for the sake of the club? What does the interim manager making an example out of Kean achieve? He’s easily our most promising young player and has the potential to be a massive asset for us if we manage him correctly. The way things are now we’ll make a loss on someone who could have the same value as Lukaku did for us in future. I have no problem with players being dragged off if they’ve not been good enough but Jesus you’d swear he put in the worst individual performance you’d ever seen the way some people are talking. Iwobi was poor all game too I think and he wasn’t taken off.
This isn’t a Sandro situation where the lad clearly just wasn’t good enough. We picked him up as a bargain to see how he’d turn out. If we didn’t buy Kean in the summer there’d have been a long list of clubs to come after.

Sake of the club?? I can see this is going be like talking to a lamppost.

If Silva, Allardyce or Koeman had done this the fans would be up in arms but because it’s Dunc and it’s seen as “being tough” and not actually just poor man management. Literally less than 5 minutes left in the match and embarrasses the lad when he could’ve waited and bollocked him in the dressing room like any other man manager would do to a young lad lacking confidence.

He’s done a good job so far and I’m happy him staying for the Leicester game. But his substitutions need to come under criticism today. How he took Bernard off and left iwobi is baffling. And the less said about the public humiliation he gave Kean the better.

Fail to see the issue, I’m not going to nail a 19 year old for being disappointed about being subbed. Good on him he shouldn’t be happy. Not like the lad swung a right hook at the coach when he came off or threw his shirt on the ground, would we be happier if he was smiling ear to ear coming off, nah.

Wouldnt blame Ferguson for making a decision to get a result either. So no need to polarize either or turn this into a thing.

I see very little to criticize anyone here.

This ain’t Eastenders there doesn’t always have to be contrived drama all the time.
