2019/20 Moise Kean

It was ruthlessness shown from Ronald Koeman which pushed Ross Barkley away from out club and led him to running his contract down.

I'm not necessarily saying that Duncan did the wrong thing or trying to say that managers cannot be ruthless but there's a fine line between using these moments to teach and develop a young footballer and completely shooting a player and his confidence.

I've got no issues with a manager being ruthless but it needs to follow up with constructive feedback and training to work on the issues/concerns that are in place. I really hope that Dunc and the coaching staff will follow this up with a real focus on how he can imrpove and develop under the Everton model.

I’m sure it will, Koeman didn’t care about this club and didn’t have man-management skill. Ferguson, by the looks of it, clearly can man-manage players so I’d expect a very tough talking meeting with the rules firmly laid down of why and what he expects

It’s a massive test of character for both kean and Ferguson, it’ll be handled behind closed doors and you want a player to have the grit to come out and get his head down to price his manager wrong

Exactly this is, it is a test of character.

Embarrassing to see the amount of people defending a striker who has never scored for the club but continue to slag of DCL who has performed in many (if not all) games.

Dunc is not the first manager to question the commitment of Kean, if he is any good he will come back from this - I am inclined to agreed with Dunc and Silva who clearly felt he was missing something (most likely attitude) which can be overcome but only if dealt with in the right way.

But yeh lets all bend over for a player who has never scored for the club but banged a couple in elsewhere???? Insanity!!

Honestly as good as Dunc has been this is why I can’t have him as the permanent manager. Look Kean played poorly when he came on but he absolutely didn’t deserve to come back off. Dunc knows how to motivate players who need a kick up the arse, Kean clearly has no confidence and needs an arm round him not to be embarrassed in front of 75,000 people and millions watching around the world.

I’m sorry to say but he’s not the permanent manager, he shouldn’t be doing this to a player that realistically he’s not gonna have to manage for much longer. Look Kean wasn’t going to cost us a goal with so little time left and Niasse wasn’t coming on and scoring, arguably he’d give the ball away just as much or more. Disgraceful man management from Dunc. Unfortunately we seem to be doing everything to make sure Kean fails at the club and will want out in January regardless of who comes in as the manager.
You're wrong. And it's attitudes like this that have let under performing players at this club drag us down into a relegation fight. The club comes first! Get on board or get out...

Is Kean doing everything he can to succeed at the club?
We don’t know what he does in training but Silva barely gave him a chance to play and build confidence. Now at this point Dunc needed results so went with what he knows and we’ve played well but there’s clearly a lack of understanding and confidence from Kean and I think that’s more than fair for a 19 year old lad coming from a different country to have.

These bad attitude shouts all stem from Souness speculating. The one time that anything came out was that he was late for a meeting and immediately apologised for it. I think his treatment at the club so far has been poor just for giving him a chance and today was a disgrace. Can’t see him playing another game for us again and I think that’s an utter waste of talent. People saying they couldn’t care less are incredibly short sighted, Roy Keane was the same type of manager. Basically intimidate the players and that’ll give them motivation but anyone else who that doesn’t work for (most modern players these days) are usually the ones to leave the club regardless of their talent. Incredibly stupid decision from an interim manager to make for no reason at all. Ruined the lad for no purpose. It’s not even like we can make a profit off him if we had to sell him now.

There’s a massive difference between seasoned pros like Schneiderlin and Gylfi walking through games being lazy. Fair enough bollock them and drag them off. Make an example out of them even. But a 19 year old lad with no confidence who hadn’t been given a chance. No way. That’s not how you manage any player I don’t care how you justify it.

Working your backside off will keep us up this year, make no mistake teams are not scared of having "moise kean" in the line up or any other of our other showboaters. All top teams have a work ethic and that should be number 1 - a given. Couple that with talent and then we have a team. Players need to work out that the bare minimum is to work hard - how do you think sheff utd are up there, and liverpool are romping it, how utd dominated for years - they all worked hard. Us lot have disappointed all season because of a basic lack of effort and I'm personally glad that we are trying to get that back. As Evertonians that is the least we should expect. We shouldn't just be be blinded by glamour signings who can't be r sed.

Really want him to come good and I don't think he has been handled well. Our poor start has not been an ideal way for him to come in especially from another country at a young age.

But Dunc has got everyone giving all for the shirt and if he hasn't followed instructions and is knackered after 10 minutes then he needs a kick up the...

If the kid has the right character it will do him good in the long run. Dunc won't be in charge long term so it doesn't mean Kean is finished at Everton.

Will be interesting to see if he is involved on Wednesday.

Sell on value just dropped 10 million by that sub. Very strange decision. If he doesnt believe in him bring on tosun or niasse instead. Slightly blot on an excellent result given injuries
