Kean decision was poor management, how many other managers would of done what he did, yep that's right, none of them.

His confidence is at a all time low and what does Ferguson do take him off and then blank him (nice touch) and then lie about why he took him off.

I rather suspect that Duncan was sparing his blushes to be honest.

What would you have him do, start there and then to explain and point out the error of his ways, which could lead to a televised slanging match.
No.
Brands - Ferguson / bad cop - good cop, (yes I said ferguson good cop) sort it out behind closed doors at USM FF.
Brands (bad cop)kicks his arse good style, sends him to apologise to The Coach, gives him the arm round the shoulder and a clean sheet (in real terms a last chance) and we see if he learns the lesson(s)

I would have rather Ferguson shouted at him from the touchline to improve.
Managers do it all the time.

For me it's all an act from Ferguson. From hugging the ball boys to taking off Kean, it's all "look at me"
It's like when maradona became Argentina manager, anyone can see he was a crap manager from the get go.

Why would you care?

Although young, nearly 20, Moise Kean is relatively experienced and a full international.
There is no doubting his talent, but certainly there are doubts about his attitude. He has been given some time to settle and I think will still need some more before he is fully integrated into the Premiership, I hope he knuckles down and realises the talent that he obviously has.

It is clear that he was asked to do a job by the manager and coaches and wasn't doing whatever they asked to their satisfaction and he got hooked which was a lesson to him and others.

I thought it was strong management and sent a clear message to the player, do what we tell you or you won't get picked to play.
A lot depends now on how the player reacts in training this week, hopefully he reacts in the right way.

But this is a professional game where the players earn huge amounts of money. Moise Kean will have been paid a big signing on fee and is on a big salary, he has to give the manager what he wants from him and he has to help the team... it is a results business and managers are judged on results.
If Utd got a second goal because of something Kean did not do there would be nobody on here defending Duncan Ferguson because he persisted with Kean.

remember when Klopp made all the Liverpool players hold hands and run to the crowd after a 1-1 draw at Anfield.....

Thats the worry should we go down the Moyes/Big Dunc route - quality strikers like Lukaku & potentially Kean slated because they dont run the channels like garbage like Strac, Bent & DCL.

hard work only takes you so far - you need the sprinkle of quality alongside it if we are to ever do anything than make up the numbers in this league.

Kean has shown neither though.

A lot of pseudo-psychology from the so-called experts. "He destroyed him", "He killed him", etc. It may say a bit about how individualistic the culture has become.

DF had to make a rational decision: he would delay the time, stop the rhythm of the match, and do so by making a substitute. As he himself says he had the bench full of strikers, and DCL and Richarlison worked tirelessly. It would be stupid to substitute them.

Kean on the other hand, struggled with the pace and intensity, and possibly he did not follow the instructions. Therefore, he was also a risk, which could ultimately cause us to lose the match. The team comes first, and that's the attitude all Evertom players need to be aware of. Consequences are far more effective than words. Words usually have the opposite effect.

For Kean now, the job of the coaching staff is to reinforce the positive, but at the same time set clear boundaries. I don't give up Kean yet, it's a good player there, but I have the feeling that he is a player who has an extraordinary talent but is not willing to work to realize the potential.
