You're absolutely right, but this is the problem he's got and will continue to have. The players ahead of him aren't veterans who he's going to naturally replace, they aren't much older than him. It's concerning that so far he doesn't appear to be have even forced himself into the reckoning to be a viable alternative. He really needs to try and push on now and make us talk about having a 3 rather than a 2+1.

Yeah i agree, and as others have mentioned, the most concerning thing is that 3 different managers now have decided he wasnt worthy of more game time.

Over the next 8 games he will get chances, just not sure it has to be from the start against Norwich

Fellaini, alongside Baines was our best player and dragged us through games. Are we not allowed to praise our best players?

Fellaini was on the old bluekipper site described by many as the best midfielder in europe. And Everton were holding him back.
He was what he was. A pain when thrown upfront for defenders.
Difference between praising a player and talking complete rubbish.

Normally a striker’s compilation video shows goals, but in fairness he’s barely been given a chance. I really do hope the lad has a successful career at Everton (as I do all of our signings) but I have my doubts.

I'm quite happy to wait for him to develop. There's no real rush.

If we're still in the same situation at the end of next year then obviously we will have to look at moving him on. But right now I'm still pretty hopeful he'll turn out to be a decent player, possibly even an excellent player.

Those youtube clips are cringe. There is one of james beattie somewhere. Swear to god you watch that and you'd think you're signing marco van basten. Reality is very different.

Having doubts is ok but I don't get why people are so quick to write him off. He played sporadically in an awful team that created very little. When Calvert Lewin was getting the minutes but not scoring, people were saying give him more time.

We're a weird fanbase sometimes... Loved straq, didn't complain when saha was a regular starter and went 12 months without a goal, but pan this lad at every opportunity.

I agree he needs minutes but recon he's better coming off the bench for this one

Kean has been at the club for a season now, has had the Covid break and came back to training starting from scratch the same as everybody else.

I do think he will start this evening, I think that if he doesn't the manager has doubts about him.
The same manager who was prepared to put Anthony Gordon in against Liverpool which was a brave call... and a good one imo.

I think Anthony Gordon will be brought into and out of the team for a season or two and this at the very least should also be happening with Moise Kean.

It's just a forum though. The support Kean gets at the match is every bit as fanatical as Stracqualursi, and a lot more than Saha ever got. In general the fans have been unbelievably patient considering the difference between what we expected and what we got. I definitely think he needs to be given more time, and I totally appreciate that he's a young lad moving country, he has my full support at games. I don't apologise for coming on here and saying I expected a lot more from him though, because i'd be lying if I said otherwise.
