What harm is it going to do, giving him a game in the final two games?

DCL hasn't showed up since the restart, and we're treading water anyway, give him a go.

At least DCL can challenge a defender for a header, and sometimes win.

Kean is useless at challenging for headers, and pretty much useless all around.

So are we though mate, if nothing more, and he grabs a goal could add a mill or so onto his price tag.

The problem is if he doesn't perform next season and we want to get rid then his value is going to have dropped like a stone

I don't understand why we are not playing him.

Not sure it will. He'll only be like 21.

I prefer to think the other way. He has plenty of time to come good.

The idea now is the best time to sell him makes no sense to me whatsoever

He’ll need to improve vastly and so will the service to him, Ronaldo would struggle to get a kick in this side.

Judging by Carlos comments in the presser, it would seem he sees a future for Kean and that (if we get chosen targets in) we will see him feature a bit more next season, hopefully in a slightly more adventurous formation.

Let's hope you are right. I haven't seen the right aptitude or attitude though in him though. You can have poor fitness or positioning and if you work hard you can improve but I still see the same things from when we first bought him.

If it was my decision and someone offered 25 million plus I would sell because I just see us being ripped off in the end.

Again nothing would please me more for you to be right and I'm talking out of my arse and he overtakes Dixie as record goalscorer. :)

wouldn't say i'm fuming, but just extremely frustrated that he's not been given more opportunities. we paid good money for him. when you see the likes of greenwood given the chance and kicking on, it just makes me think that there is something amiss.

Thing is, look at what Kean has behind him -- Tom Davies, Gylfi the Ghost, and Gomes who is far from 100%. Greenwood has Pogba and Fernandes who imo are two of the best CMs in the league right now (Fernandes has 7 goals and 7 assists already). The times Kean's shown promise is when he's had the ball to his feet and able to run at the defence and we just don't have the quality in midfield to enable it. Imagine if he had a player like Fernandes behind him.
Ancelotti was pretty clear today that Kean will be part of the team next season. Let's give him a new chance to show his ability after (hopefully) a good transfer window with a new midfield.

Essentially persisting with Kean is fine if you're a top 6 side who have near unlimited FFP spend ability.

We unfortunately do not have that and are in a position of needing massive investment to get us challenging the top sides - to do that we are gonna have to get certain players off the books to help abide by FFP who can make us a profit.

Essentially at present the club hasn't got room for £25 million+ passenger's like him and Iwobi nor players on over 120k a week like Bernard offering us 2 goals a season - everyone has to be offering the club something and if they dont then we have to get as much money for them and reinvest in someone who can contribute.

If we sold him this year then we could easily make an FFP loss. I don't see any large offers incoming, nor would I want to sell anyway.
