You can only use the midfield excuse so far - otherwise you can simply absolve Pickford, Sidibe & Keane of all bad performances this season as surely a solid midfield means the above 3 get protection no?

A better midfield doesnt prevent DCL missing from 2 yards out or passing back instead of running at the oppositions defence pushing them back and moving us up the pitch

A better midfield doesnt stop Kean blowing out his ass 10 minutes on the pitch.

I think you both are giving way too many excuses and looking for the easy excuse of "it wuz der midfield".

The midfield is the biggest problem no doubt - but unless we are bringing in KDB & Kante we aint pushing the top 6/7 with the current options up top, GK, RB & wide players.
A better midfield creates more chances for our strikers to score it's simple, Our leading assist is our LB followed by our RB.
The strikers have actually done there job this season.

But you're going on like its impossible to sell players - we sold Lookman, Vlasic, Onyekuru last season and neither did anything at the club.

Iwobi is still a decent player who's an established international player he just doesnt fit in our system.

Kean is a "highly" rated player who apparently many clubs were monitoring - just because he hasn't done it in England doesn't mean he couldnt go back to Italy/Spain/Germany and improve in slower/physically weaker leagues.

I just think anyone who is happy for the likes of Kean, Iwobi, Bernard etc to stay at the club can not moan if we don't spend much as the club simply have to balance the books.

We're not a Man Utd or Chelsea who can have a conveyor belt of players on the books doing nothing or players like Sanchez on 300k a week not contributing.

All three of those players had been out on loan for a year/s before leaving. I think it's very likely we'd have to do the same with Kean if we want to sell him, because he is completely unproven and has failed pretty badly so far at Everton. Any club looking to take him would be in a very strong position and with every reason to value him considerably lower than the price we paid.

So unless you fancy making a massive loss, I would suggest the idea of selling him for any respectable fee in the next window is a bit fanciful. We'd need someone to be pretty stupid, frankly.

They’ll get better next season too, a great pair that no centre back pairing will look forward to facing with their pace, power and work rate.

They’ve both looked tired at times since the restart (as the whole team really) which has especially taken the edge off of DCL’s game, but I think he’ll look much better when we aren’t playing games every 3-4 days

I guarantee Wolves sell Cutrone in the summer who joined them in the same circumstances as Kean.

I just think thats ultimately the difference between the two clubs - one is run very well whilst the other holds onto players for too long until their value is completely diminished- I mean how has Davies not gone out on atleast 1 loan move in the 3 years he's been at the club? Same as DCL really.

Probably cos they have played over 200 games for us mert.

I just noticed Wolves have Jimenez and a 19 year lad who hasn't played a single minute as their Strikers.

How does a team get so lucky that their best player stays fit all season when they don't have a replacement.

JOKES

You haven't answered a single point I've made, but fair play, we all have our opinions.

One of the weirdest signings ever by the club... hardly gets a kick and when he does he shows no football awareness or ability at all. £25m... he’s young scored goals at juve and for Italy but I can’t help but wonder about him... bold statement but prince oumar Offered just as much

Thing is Niasse didn’t break into a juventus team ahead of Mandzukic and Dybala at times so the kid obviously has something about him ,with Niasse he was an abomination of a footballer

Cos they have a midfield that score the majority of their goals.
Where as ours just jog around.

Edit
Very lucky injury ( & suspension wise )
